Don’t shoot the messenger, but SEC playoff spots may be limited

a perfect storm is brewing for the ACC to get at least 2 and maybe even 3 playoff spots
If GA Tech, Virginia and Miami all win out; ACC get 2 guaranteed spots (winner of GT vs VA and Miami) - Virginia and GT both have very manageable schedules, and Miami’s toughest opponent left is SMU
If GA Tech pulls off a miracle and beats UGA (highly unlikely) and also loses the ACC Championship to Virginia; ACC gets 3 teams in the playoffs
Plus, Notre Dame gets in if they run the table
That takes away 1 or 2 spots that a 10-2 or 9-3 SEC team might have gotten

I wouldn't even worry that far ahead...
There may need to be some BS tie breaker just to see who gets to go to Atlanta just to have the privilege of being one of the SEC teams knocked out of the playoff.

Big 12 is getting 1, maybe 2 teams in (if TTU doesnt lose again, BYU can afford 1 loss)
B1G is getting 3 teams in (OSU/IU/Oregon)
ACC likely gets 2 in (Miami/CCG winner)
Notre Dame + G5 is 2 more
There are realistically 3-4 spots, people are delusional if they think they are going to put 5-6 teams in

The SEC will get 3 teams unless A&M, Alabama, or Georgia loses a couple of games.

here is something I do know; UGA and GA Tech have both been ranked in the top 10 THREE times in in the history of COFH
1942 -- #5 UGA beats #2 GA Tech 34-0
1946 -- #2 UGA beats #7 GA Tech 35-7
1966 -- #7 UGA beats #5 GA Tech 23-14
IF they are both ranked top 10 this year, it will be the 1st time in my lifetime (I was born in 1968)
I also expect it would be the 4th time that the Dawgs win a top 10 matchup
I REALLY hope it happens
