Because they just fired a guy that is very similar to Gus as far as record goes.

Gus has had a couple of good years as a head coach. He usually underachieved though. Same as Pittman. Why fire an average to bad head coach to hire an average to bad head coach. Those good years Gus had were a long time ago. You might as well go hire Jimbo Fisher if you are going to hire an underachieving coach. At least he does have a natty to his credit as a head coach.

Gus is an absolute piece of shite. Makes Petrino look like a choir boy. I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire. And most Hog fans feel the same way

The rule changes killed Malzahn. His entire thing was to tire out a defense. Hard to do that with the sub rules now.

It’s this, once the NCAA figured out all the cheap shite he was pulling on the field they put an end to it with the rule changes. Turned GUS from what appeared to be an elite coach to just another HUNH coach.

Because, unless he’s coaching against Alabama, he’s washed. Put Alabama on the other side though and the man becomes Knute Rockne
