Georgia rushing averages 185.5 ypg. Ole Miss ranks 96th in rushing defense and gives up 158 ypg. We might run for 200+ yards and that will give Gunnar plenty of passing opportunities.

I sure hope Freeling, Morris, and Greene are healthier this week. Could use some extra firepower.

They are also top 10 pass D. So likely another 130 yard game from gunner

Everything Brooks Austin saw, I assure you Lane Kiffin saw. The weaknesses in our OL are going to be exploited like a mofo so I expect our play calling to reflect that we know you know what these weaknesses are. It's going to be perimeter plays and up the middle plays. And people will say Bobo isn't creative or adaptive.

Auburn game was some bad flashbacks to 2024. I don't know what to think about our running game all of a sudden. Win this game and get to the bye week is the best we can hope. Try to get the offensive line healthy and regroup for Florida.

Luckily, I don't think Ole Miss has the edge guys Auburn does. Also seems like Glover, Gaston, and Hughley are growing up in a hurry.

I saw a stat (purportedly from PFF) on Gunner's Average Depth of Target this morning; 6.5 yds, 149th ranked. We'll see how defenses play us down the stretch, but DC's might decide to make Gunner prove he can consistently complete passes behind the LB'ers.

These analytics never pan out for UGA. Although I think we win, we aren’t rushing for 200 yds. It’s going to be a close one or we get blown out due to defensive issues.

We have the best second half defense in all of college football and it isn’t even really close at all both statistically and just using the eye test. Put together a marginally complete game on defense at home and UGA should win the game and cover the 7 imo.

I've got confidence in us based on this stat. We didn't run the ball effectively vs Auburn; lot of credit to Auburn D.

If they try that I think they will be surprised. Branch and our WRs can get separation and burn them.

Bowens was limited last week. Per reports, he has been full participation in practice this week. Their run D is bad too.

I think they will sell to stop the run. Gunner will feast.

In short: expect a lot of 3rd and Cash. How prescient. No one would have guessed.

They should be. They don't get off the bus until halftime.

I think we can get receivers and tight ends open further downfield because we've been doing it for several years and we have good talent. I'm just saying that Gunner's ADOT is only 6.5 yards past the LOS halfway through the season. His median depth of target is probably less than that because the longer passes skew the mean (depth of target is close to a one sided distribution, because passes predominantly travel forward).
So the question is not whether guys can get open. The question is whether Gunner can get time, stay in the pocket, stay focused downfield, see his open targets, throw longer passes and complete them. If he can start doing that more often, get that ADOT higher, particularly up the middle of the field, the running game should thrive. Otherwise linebackers will linger closer to the LOS and the running game will suffer and the short passing game may also become less effective against good defenses. It was a question I had going into the season.
One bold prediction this season
quote:
If Gunner can hit 15-20 yard passes across the middle and keep the linebackers honest, our offense will have a very good year. If he can't do that and we have to "run to set up the pass", our offense will not have a very good year.

I think I. Early and crucial drives we should nickel and dime their defense to death, keep the d on the bench go deep on the quick changes
