Saturday will be only the second time State has played in the Swamp in the last 20 years. And the first time since 2010.

The starting QB’s the last time State played in Gainesville were Chris Relf and John Brantley. State won 10-7 in a game where they attempted 9 passes for a total of 33 yards.

Damn, those Muschamp offenses were so awful. Solid defense, mind you. Still, terrible memories.

Surprisingly that was Urban Meyer.

And yes it's been since Urban Meyer since we have played at the Swamp

the first time since 2010.

There have been two expansions since then, and the second one blew up the divisions. Scheduling has been all over the place.

Hell, Georgia still hasn’t been to College Station. Ever.

I was at that game. Score was 10-7 but it felt like State was in control the whole way. Florida did miss a late FG that would have sent the game in OT. Coach Croom gets a lot of criticism but that State Defense was all his recruits and there were a number of players that eventually played on Sundays on that side of the line of scrimmage. They were outstanding that evening.

But back to the original point. It is ridiculous that this is our first trip back to the Swamp in FIFTEEN YEARS.

Since last playing at Florida, State has played at A&M seven times, they’ve played at Mizzou and they’ve played at Texas. Nine road games against teams that were not in the SEC in 2010 since they’ve played one game in the Swamp.

I'll probably go but Billy wins these. When his back is against the wall he's gonna win. Get fired on Sunday. And it'll be just like Gus and Jimbo when they beat State and still fire the coach.

Auburn was our oldest rival, and when we ended that in 2002 they have only been to the Swamp once since then. One visit to the Swamp in 23 years from our oldest rival, and also the closest school distance wise to Gainesville.

Reason # 541 why the SEC was right to get rid of divisions and go to the 6/3 scheduling format. If you are in a conference with someone, you ought to play them on a regular basis.

I was at that 2010 game. One of the worst QB performances I've ever seen. Brantley was awful
