Since there seems to be a great deal of interest about Mizzou of late...

Current Applicants:

Arkansas: Status - Pending. Arkansas fans really, really, really don't care about Mizzou. And they'll remind you of that fact. Constantly. Probably multiple times in response to this thread. They're a respectable powerhouse with real rivals who care about them, and have no time for lowly Mizzou. Maybe if they can make it to November with something to play for, their disinterest can shift this forced rivalry into a real one.

LSU: Status - Pending. It seems like the school that claims to have no rivals would like to see a change on that front. They just can't stop talking about Mizzou around here. We're open to the concept I suppose, but Mizzou and LSU have only played each other four times, and I for one am confused by the attention. I never thought that hiring our DC would generate such tremendous interest in our program.

Oklahoma: Status - Renewal in process as a tertiary rivalry. Once a good old Big Eight rivalry until Mizzou decided to stop playing football for the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Now they'll meet again annually for the first time since the Texas schools wrecked the Big Eight in the mid-90s. I hope Mizzou can be more competitive than in the Big 12 era.

We were really hoping to see some applications from Kentucky and South Carolina. But the former has a Stoops problem and the latter will probably fade since it isn't continuing as an annual game. Too bad.

I’d rather see us get an annual or bi-annual game with Illinois or Iowa.

I appreciate that you're trying to find a way for Mizzou to fit in with the rest of the SEC, but it's just not going to happen insofar as LSU is concerned. Seriously, we'd view Delgado Community College as more worthy of a rivalry than Mizzou.

It has to be a rivalry for there is a trophy named after it. Something about being neighbors but we are neighbors with other teams too, including LSU and the Boot so I don't know what gives here.

I think since aTm joined the conference they have became the bigger of LSU’ s rivalry.

Most other teams don’t really think about them that much

But when they are good they let everyone know about it.

Maybe Fla LSU is a rivalry

Forget Tennessee.

Standing on business left a mark.

Good Luck on your search.

OU has a record of 67-25-5 (.716) against Missouri

Not interested in anything being considered as a rivalry with you all. No offense intended.

They can’t stand that historically terrible Kansas is still their speed with the series 57-55 and their record away from Faurot is 22-41

Hell, they actually trailed us before the Turner Gill and Charlie Weis goatfrick.

Did want to say that OU and Missouri had some incredible games in the '70s and early '80s....

The problem was that OU ended up winning almost all of them. Missouri won in '81 and '83. But some of those games in the '70s were crazy exciting.
