Should Arch put on some weight and become a tight end?

It’s very clear that he doesn’t have the arm talent to be a QB. Eventually, he will lose his job this season. Then he will be forced to transfer to a place like Louisiana Tech in embarrassing fashion to try to keep his dream of being a QB alive.

He doesn’t have to go out like that. He’s already a good athlete. His dad Cooper was a receiver, so he probably has good hands. If he can just put on some weight and learn how to block, he can be a tight end for Texas next year. After that, who knows?

The dumbassness never stops.

Arch is a fool for choosing to play for Sarkisian. He is being fed to the wolves without an OL.

I thought Sark was an elite offensive mind. You Texas people need to make up your minds.

Exactly so! Arch is suffering from and being blamed for the problems caused by a shitty offensive line and coach. 7 sacks, pressure on 30% of the other passing and 50 yards rushing, almost all by Arch are proof of a really POS excuse of an OL.

Reminds me of similar problems with Connor Weigman, Haynes King, and countless others under the quarterback whisperer Jimbo Fisher.

OL is more than adequate for the player who everyone before Ohio State said Arch was going to be.

If he was good Manning would have beaten out Ewers when UT had a better OL.

Blaming this on the OL

Arch just isnt a good QB and it doesnt take long watching him play to realize that. That last drive against Florida was an absolute abortion outside of when the backup QB came in and threw a dime.

Arch took 2 completely unnecessary awful sacks (not the OL fault at all there) when you absolutely cant take a sack and made a throw that could and maybe should have been picked off. It was clear he was trying to run for whatever reason when you CANNOT run in that situation with no time outs and a minute or less to play. The first sack he took beginning of drive, he had 3+ seconds to throw with the OL holding up but he just drifts right into an OG blocking for whatever reason, panicked and got sacked. The second sack he takes the OL holds up, steps into a clean pocket, literally tries to tuck and start running for whatever insane reason, then gets sacked and game ends. That's just AWFUL QBing.

The guy just doesnt have it, he's never had it. Everyone from LA warned about how overrated this kid was because of his last name back in high school. He played against the worst teams LA had to offer, still rarely stood out, then got to the playoffs and got demolished every year. Nobody was very impressed with him within the state.

Not his fault all the recruiting services decided to anoint him the next great Manning but he was a high 3-star low 4-star at best type of talent.

You have not been paying attention. Most of the UTrans posters have been telling us that Arch "has not had enough starts to play up to his potential". I am not sure how they know what his "potential" is. He actually looked better last year. A better OL would certainly help.

They also have been telling us that Sark is an "offense genius". I guess he just needs a few more starts as well.

remember when jealous figs on here made fun of Stetson Bennett after he won two national championships, and then just recently made the Rams NFL roster for the 3rd year?

Wouldn't be the first time a horn QB savior ended up as a TE
