Saban was barely over .500 at Michigan State.
Saban was only .750 at LSU.
Saban even had a 7-6 season at Alabama.
And we know that much of his success at Alabama was due to illegal Pay for Play.
Meanwhile compare that to Urban's career.
Utah was nothing at the time and Urban went undefeated there.
Urban put Utah on the map.
Florida was an absolute disaster when Urban took over.
Urban proceeded to win 2 of their 3 National Titles in just 6 years.
And at Ohio State he beats Saban for a National Title, goes 7-0 vs Michigan, and only loses 4 conference games in 7 years.
Urban's career winning percentage is much higher.

Urban is an excellent coach... But, you could say he ran away from the SEC after Saban got established.

Saban genuinely gave him heart murmurs in his final seasons at UF. Saban is the GOAT and the longer we get from his reign the more incredible it will look. He made entire universities change the way they approached football. Every assistant he produced was chased by athletic directors for 14 years trying to recreate it. Nothing will replicate what he did again.
