1, I thought the offensive game plan was pretty good. I don't think Vandy was expecting Bama to run the ball. Nice to see Jam Miller getting fed the ball. Dude ran hard yesterday.

2. Offensive line-gotta give them props. They weren't perfect and they gave up 4 sacks but overall, they played fairly well. I think Formby's natural position is guard and Michael Carroll should be starting in his tackle spot.

3. Ty continues to get better and better. Yes, he threw that INT early and had a few throws sail on him but even Tom Brady would have a few sail on him. I like the fact he doesn't get too down on himself and curl up. He truly is one of the best QBs in the country.

4. Defensive game plan in the first half was bad. I feel like Bama is winning in spite of Wommack's bad coaching. He's just awful. Good second half adjustments.

5. Gotta give the defense props. They tightened up in the second half and came up with some critical turnovers in this game. I thought the pass rush was decent. Not great but decent. Got pressure on Pavia at times.

6. Hats off to the young defensive linemen like London Simmons. They've been getting a baptism of fire but have held up pretty well and have contributed.

7. Special teams were shaky. Granted, Doud only had one punt and it took a bad bounce.I hope this doesn't come back to bite us this year. I'd love to see Bama get serious about special teams and be good (e.g. blocking punts/FGs, getting good punt returns, etc)

8. Glorious to see Diego Pavia have a massive helping of crow to eat after the game. He took a couple of vicious but clean licks. I bet he's sore this morning. LOL.

9. I was really irritated by the refs and their spotting of the ball. Anytime Vandy had the ball, they ALWAYS got a very generous spot and we consistently got terrible spots with the ball. Vandy was holding their asses off all game and I think they were called once the whole game.

10. Great win but time to move on to Misery and NO LET DOWNS!! I think they'll be coming off a bye week this week. Need to go out and beat them like a rented mule. RTR!!!

Got cute with the play calling. They could not match up with our receivers but we killed several drives trying to run the ball.

Kicked too many FG's.

Can't keep giving up long busted play TD's on defense.

This was my only gripe. The wildcat okay with Germie was particularly egregious. Seesaw like we are looking at times for a highlight play, when all we need is a pitch’s and catch. Proctor getting the handoff was fun at least.

The fourth and one call on the opening drive had me yelling. You throw the ball twenty yards downfield ? We have to be able to convert a yard when we are in that position.

Outside of the opener, we have been at a pretty high level consistently. Blew out two not so great teams, and beat two good teams.

Are we elite, not yet, but our guys are playing pretty well overall.

He was likely guessing Vandy would sell out against the run, had they it was a TD. I didn’t like the outcome but I understood the call.

I posted at halftime however that we had been completely destroying them in the interior (A gap off center) run game until they started sending help. To me that’s when the RPO slant game and PA game would’ve ended them.

We actually got a RPO slant that made me want to yell “Tua!” that could’ve been an explosive play with a better throw and the 4Q we looked like early Saban grinding some team into dust getting 5-6 a touch, but the creative touch that won the game against UGA on 3rd down just didn’t land all day and we left 2-3 TDs on the field today.

Bottom line between figuring out how to run the ball, stop a beer option team and Connor Talty going 3-3 on FGs this was an incredible day for Bama football IMO.

To be fair, we did have a wide open receiver that would have scored. Ty missed him and made a bad throw.

I like this. fair review and I 100 percent agree with you.

Only thing is Grubb playcalling was shite at times and Ty bailed him out couple of time. I don't know if it was on purpose or not.

I don't like Fromby at guard.

I’ll add on more gripe. The ABc/ESPN broadcast sucks ballz. They never seem to replay important moments or calls during the game.

That and it seemed like Sean McDonough was basically outright pulling for Vandy. Refused to give Bama credit for anything.

ESPN didn’t even show the final touchdown run by Jam in their game highlights. I hate that network so much.

The YouTube channel "Wheels" has superior highlights to ESPN and he uploads very quickly after the game.

Actually Fromby played better at RT yesterday. When we gave up pressure it was up the middle. OL is not that difficult if you know where your QB is setting up. Get between the defender and the QB. Why he would take an outside step in pass protection with the WB setting up behind center and a DT shaded inside eye I’ll never understand.

Should have been ran on 2nd down and not 3rd when you need to move the chains.

Where was that? There was a safety deep.

He and Proctor both have struggled with quick/speedy edge rushers. They have both improved some this year but neither one are very quick. Takes less quickness to be a guard than an OT.

Justin Jefferson deserves a tip of the hat. He had the best game of his Alabama career yesterday. He was a probably Bamas most valuable player on defense.
