You don't win that many games and not know what you're doing. The issue he has now is his DC. He knows it's a shite show and will make the change at the end of the year as this will more than likely be Alabama's downfall this season. Pavia will probably light things up next week, but at least the offense will be good enough to win it.

Some of the issues on the defensive side is being thin in the trenches now due to injuries, that’s a BIG problem stopping a run game.

I’m sure there’s some truth to this, but the way our linebackers failed to understand how to set the edge is not about being thin.

He needs to stop laying an egg on the road as a heavy favorite but you don't go 7-0 against Kirby/Lanning/Sark without knowing a thing or two.

He wins these kind of games tonight at a very high mark.
What he doesn't do is get his team to play to a standard every week. He's just as likely to lose to a Vandy or Mizzou as he is to Georgia. He beat Oregon twice in 2023, but came incredibly close to losing to two bad teams the same year.

Last year's game against Vandy was due to being surprised because Vandy were never that good. Now this year Alabama should get the win this year against Vandy.

They allowed us to win tonight. At this point that is all you can hope. Our front was all 2nd and 3rd team players + Tim Keenan in his first game coming back from injury.
They played hard. Alabama won the turnover battle. Because of the defense making a play. The field goal Alabama got from that turnover was the difference in the game.

Alabama fans are so fricking spoiled they can’t enjoy a win. They nitpick everything while they have 2 divorces under their belt, a functional substance abuse issue, their credit score is 690, their 18 year old son is in jail, and their 14 year old daughter is pregnant.
But holy shite if Alabama doesn’t play a perfect game. Then they really care.
