I know Georgia’s become known in the past few years as a team that’s great at taking an early punch and rallying through it, but I feel like this could be one of those games where a fast start could be more of a key than normal.

Alabama under DeBoer has been known to be a head case on the road. Honestly, it’s a program that seems to be a front runner. Let them get out to a fast start and feel in control from the jump, and they can make good teams look bad, even on the road.

BUT, get an early jump on them, especially while they’re on the road, and they seem prone to wilting.

Especially with this game being in Athens at night, it feels like if you could jump on them early, give the crowd some red meat and get that Bama sideline down in the dumps with the outside world talking about DeBoer’s job, and it feels like this game could get sideways quickly.

On the other hand, let Bama hit some big plays on us early and jump up 14-3 or something and I feel like the home crowd will be totally out of it, for at least the next portion of the game.

Be happy to not let them start fast and we finish strong.

So long as we don't spot them 28 points in the first quarter, I like our chances

Wouldn’t hold my breath with this joke of a secondary

I can’t recall a fast start since we had Bobo. Not saying we haven’t had one but that I can’t recall one.

I hope after this season him and searls leave. I think some fresh thinking would do the O good. Saying that though searls terrible O line coaching does hinder what Bobo wants to do.

Didn’t we immediately go down the field with a 50-yard pass followed by a TD at Tennessee two weeks ago?

Yeah, Georgia Fast and Oregon/Tennessee Fast are totally different matters .

I'll take the Georgia Fast as demonstrated in Knoxville any day. Boom or bust on these light speed offenses.

If you call trailing 21-7 before the 2nd quarter, I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that maybe "fast start." doesn't mean what you think it means.

Do you really think our secondary is a joke? Like you really do?

Offense scored 2 touchdowns in the first 3 possessions. The defense couldn't get off the field.

It's funny hearing all of the 21-7 chatter after the game.

Tennessee's first 3 possessions versus UGA's first 2 possessions sounds like the most logical metric to spaz about.

I don't care how you parse it out, rationalize it, or deflect, trailing 21-7 in the first quarter is not what anyone on the face of the earth would label a fast start which is the topic being discussed.

No one is 'spazzing out': not me, not the people arguing counter (at least not yet). Hyperbole much? At present is the proposition that, as absurd as it sounds, trailing 21-7 is an example of getting off to a fast start. Yes. You read that correctly.

Spaz works. Neurotic would've worked, also.

If you watched last game and came away satisfied with the secondary . I have a bridge to sell you.

Can you think they made some mistakes and got some bad calls, that they performed below the standard, but also are not a “joke of a secondary?”

Tenner 371 yards through the air and 4 TDs on an “elite” D say otherwise. Thats very bad

2 touchdowns in 3 opening possessions.

Fast start for the offense or no?

It is a legitimate question.

If we score 2 touchdowns every 3 possessions for the rest of the season, then I like our national championship chances.

Nice strawman. Completely avoids the topic being discussed.
