But you are headed for a shitstorm on Saturday night at Faurot, Cackalacky.
This shitstorm will be accompanied by (somewhat annoying) 3rd down trumpets, cannon shots, a big damn crane and several thousand Mizzou fans dressed in black who will be wound for sound.
Expect periods of dread and OCA, Offensive Coordinator Anxiety to be followed by a testy post-game Beamer report.

Truthfully, I don't like where this game fell on the schedule this year. It feels like it should be a month from now, sometime in mid/late October. While UGa always felt like an early-season game, Mizzou always felt like a mid-year game. Playing week 4 doesn't feel right.
As previously stated, Beamer's teams tend to be slow starters, and figure it out as the season goes on. Mizzou, under Drink, kinda feels the opposite, in that they get rolling really early, and have late season falters. The scheduling this year 100% favors Mizzou. .
I'm going to say this is a 38-17 kinda game. I won't say SC can top 17 points on offense until i actually see them do it under Shula.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's going to require some kind of 2022-style turnaround. And historically, Beamer teams don't do that in September.

The battle of the Columbias has been the most enjoyable surprise of our SEC tenure.
Though we’ve only ever played 14 times and 8 of them were within 10 points with the away team winning.
5 of the in conference matchups the away team has won and the underdog via the spread has won most of the time.
Just a bizarre fun series. I loved twilight Spurrier, sandstorm is elite and Beamer is bizzaro world Drink. Small man syndrome and has an edge that the fanbase needs.
