How much we paying this fool?

Well at least Napier is gone. I am wondering if Lagway may have too much Richardson in him when it comes to reading the field.

His buyout means prob not. Scott is a terrible AD.

He is gone at the end of the season.

It might be bad qb coaching also.

just read this on reddit... makes sense:
quote:
Some copy pasta I made last week
Here’s my take: Billy is the worst coach in the league. Lagway actually looked better last year because he had less time in the system. Napier has “Napiered” him into a hesitant passer who constantly checks down behind the line of scrimmage.
The proof is in the trend: as DJ started more games last season, his performances got worse—not just from injury, but from the poison of this offensive scheme.
We saw it again in Game 1. Tramell flashed the same promise DJ once had, but he hasn’t been in the system long enough to be “Napiered” yet. And that’s the cycle: exceptional talent slowly beaten into mediocrity by one of the worst playbooks in college football.

I hope that is 90% of Lagways issue but ever since Tulane even with lesser athletes I am wondering if Lagway can't process that good even besides Napiers mess.

After the pick 6 Napier should have Sit DJ down
Lagway looks terrible out there is it from Injury or just from rust or just him not being physically ready to be out there
No matter the excuse, he is not the same QB we saw last year
Tramell should have seen the field tonight!!! 5 INTs!!!!! 5!!!!
No excuse for that not even in Pop Warner

He never had to read a defense much last season until Tulane gave that drop coverage blueprint.

We all know where Lagway would have been after he second int if Spurrier was the coach.

I absolutely don’t understand coaching today. Why in the hell do you keep someone on the field that is totally screwing up. Ok, one interception you calm him down and try to refocus. But when it keeps happening, sit his arse down. What are you worried about hurting his feelings and him leaving. If that’s Lagway’s mentality, he needs to go.

Yep he needed to be taken out to watch from the sideline while the game was still winnable.

I think DJ had more success last year because he was an unknown commodity to defensive coordinators.
Now that they have more game tape (and DJ is still hurt/rusty, it is going to be hard for DJ to have any kind of success.

Spurrier would’ve benched his arse after the Pick 6
Said it before the game. He ain’t it,

I hope he turns things around but have my doubts with all these games coming up. Maybe an upset or two but mostly losses coming.
PFF claims we have the #3 pass protection O line right now and the issue is Lagway has happy feet in the pocket and our receivers aren't doing that good. I don't believe the O line has done that good on protection but Lagway does seem quick to start running around on some plays.
