I’m not sure the FSU loss was as bad as people thought, and I also think the loss woke Alabama up big time. They’ve been mauling people since then.
I’d give Alabama the edge, although it’d be a very slight one if the game’s in Neyland.

Bama, they are better at almost every position than Tennessee.
Bama has better WRs than Tennessee and would wear our secondary much worse than TN did.
Bama has a much better secondary than we seem to have and likely wouldn't give up easy TDs the way our secondary did.

And yea, this does not account for how well said teams are coached and other intangibles like injuries but overall Bama has better players than Tennessee.
