What is happening gentlemen? Been a while. Anyone just hanging tonight? I have been left home alone and unsupervised for the weekend. Got a cocktail poured, a wagyu ribeye about to go on the grill and waiting for the games to start.
What the hell is going on out there with you guys.

I have always wanted to cook a tomahawk ribeye and was planning on that today but they didnt have any yesterday when I went by the store. I had to do all my running around yesterday. I had to drop my truck off at the shop for a few days. Some kind of drive train problem. I dont have a ride for the weekend. Wife and son are in Georgia.
Hopefully the mechanic goes easy on me
Steak is on. Doing a reverse sear on this one.

I have a 1.5" thick ribeye in sous vide and I'm going to drop it on a red hot skillet in a few hours. Drinking red wine marinating my liver beforehand.

About to pour a beer and tinker in the garage, the only peace and quiet in my life

Oktoberfests are flowing and about to watch some football.

What should I be watching?

All we have right now is Indiana versus Indiana State. Later, we have Houston versus the fighting Deion Sanders.

When I was in Georgia, my basement was used for that. Now I really don't have an escape other than the outdoor kitchen and piddling in my plants and bushes outside. I have turned into Martha Stewart since we moved here.

I’m going to have the Colorado-Houston game on one tv and whatever the high school game that will be the televised game of the week is on another.

Just finished a grilled Wagyu chuck burger, about to go get dragged by the doggo for his evening 1 mile, may make a quick dash to Harbor Freight before that though to pick up a come along. Need one to drag the now-engineless CJ7 back onto the lift after I get done working on the son's car Sunday.

Went to a brewery a few years back around this time and ordered a pumpkin ale. They set it down, reached under the bar to grab something, and began vigorously sprinkling pumpkin spice on it.
Didn’t say anything. Wouldn’t matter anyways - I was speechless
Haven’t had a seasonal beer since. Every man has their line and that was mine

I actually drank a few beers (Corona Premier) tonight. Not something I do a lot . Was good with my steak.
I have switched to the Houston game. The Indiana game is a run away
Going to be up early tomorrow working in the yards. I have a bunch of trees and plants that need some attention. Then shower and sitting in front of the TV for the rest of the day. I have basically missed the first two weeks of College football other than our games due to work/fishing. Gonna be nice a quiet here tomorrow.
I have a rack of St Louis ribs in the fridge that I am going to make party ribs out of tomorrow. I have never made them that way so Im looking forward to trying that
Yea, I think that would have been it for me

Sounds like a damn good day. When did you get into gardening?
I have a nice lot. A decent portion is wooded, but I’ve got a really nice, sunny portion I’m tempted to build a vegetable garden on. I’d need to fence it and probably would plant around it on the outside
It’d take years but I think we’ll be here a while

I’d have instantly sent it back. That is absurd.
If the Oktoberfest says it’s a märzen, there shouldn’t be any frickery about. If you go with the German ones, there definitely won’t be any frickery about.
