Tua was awful today
Bryce was awful today
Mac Jones was absolute dogshit and will never start again
McCarron couldn’t cut it
Hurts doesn’t count.

Was it Saban’s system or being surrounded by 5 stars constantly?

It really is hard to recruit a future NFL star QB. A total crap shoot even when snagging 5 stars.

Tua had a shot to be good but I think his brain is jello now

Yep. Only 32 of them get playing time at all. Maybe 15-20 are good. 10 or so are stars. Most of them were not 5 star recruits and some of the very best were lightly recruited...Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, Aaron Rodgers, Jared Goff, Geno Smith, Dak, Brock Purdy, Jordan Love.

If it was as simple as just recruiting the best one, Quinn Ewers would have been the #1 pick and can't miss.

I just hope they become as good as the UT QBs in the NFL. Oh wait…

Well let’s look and compare how the Tennessee system has faired for quarterbacks in the NFL from that university. Give me those names and stats and let’s compare

They went 8-1 as starters against Tennessee though. And that is why you started this thread.

Think OU has Caleb Williams Spencer Rattler Baker Mayfield Kyler Murray Jalen Hurts all starters in nfl who played at OU. Probably missed a few

By my count, there are 5 QB’s on that list?

I agree. They are 2-10 in their last dozen games against Alabama.

To be fair, we don’t really claim Rattler or Williams. But it is fricking wild that 5 QBs that played for OU in the last 8 years are now NFL starters.

I think Tua would have been good but he probably can’t tie his shoes without help now.

All multi-millionaires now. I'm sure your analysis keeps them up at night.

So Alabama wins without superstar NFL QBs.

Everyone else has to hope on winning the QB lottery?

Is that your point?

It should be a criminal offense the way that Brian Kelly wasted Jayden Daniels, Will Campbell, Emory Jones, Mason Taylor, Brian Thomas, Jr. and Malik Nabors in 2023.

It ain’t just bama. OSU QBs are always top recruits but they blow in the NFL.

That fricking defense that year.

A serviceable defense and that team wins a title.
