Both positive and negative.

That’s why I love this conference.

There’s no other conference that has fans with more passion and can go off the rails as quickly as the SEC!

My realistic POV:
1- LSU is very very good. But NOT bulletproof or an automatic playoff team. I’m optimistic, though!!!

2- Bama is still Bama. The players are still more talented than 95% of the rest of CFB. They ain’t dead or done… by a long shot.

3- Arch is still a Manning, and thus blessed by the Lord with a knack for QB. He don’t suck near as bad as we saw or hoped. TU DOES suck, however, and will probably ruin him (hopefully) until the Combine. Then he will have an incredible career as a pro, and TU will take credit for all of it.

4- Apart from LSU (of course) USCe is quickly becoming a team I’m rooting for. They’re gonna win the SEC East (LOL) this year. I really do like them, though.

5- Diego Pavia is an absolute beast and I freaking love him.

What I learned in week one:

Alabama isn't going to win a single game this year

Arch Manning is transferring to Grambling this offseason

Florida State is winning the national championship

LSU is also winning the national championship

Lane Kiffin has already accepted the Alabama head coaching position as Kalen Deboer has been taken to the train station

Marcus Freeman is an awful coach and Notre Dame continues to skirt by through playing bad teams (actually true)

North Carolina is BBQ chicken levels of cooked (also actually true)

100% agree with this.

100% disagree with this. Your last name says nothing about being a QB. He had some technical fundamentals he has to clear up that the other Mannings never possessed. That’s not to say he is not or never will be a good QB. I definitely think he can, but he could also turn into a game manager type and I wouldn’t be that surprised either.

both occurring simultaneously is still more likely than an Ole Miss championship

LSU looks really good. They may just have found a defense. Anyone else? Too early to tell.

I was shocked at how often his arm level dropped to sidearm when it didn't need to happen. He definitely has some mechanical problems. Can they be fixed? Probably, if he will listen to his coaches. Problem is, he probably has a couple of uncles trying to coach him and give him advice and he may not listen to his coaches.

It'll be interesting to watch him the rest of the year.

Maybe, but one thing is clear...one of the Alabama schools will indeed claim it. Retroactively of course.
