The top teams have paid players that play to win...But we don't. Our guys don't act like they care. They go through the motions. They don't push each other. They're soft.

What do these other teams have that we don't that makes them want to play as a team and win?

Coaching makes the difference.

Putting a bunch of talent together and paying them money won't make them win.

Yep… they woke up this morning with money in their pocket, a full belly of free food and firing up their Lambo to go grab a Starbucks and hook up with a hottie coed… not a care in the world and zero embarrassment for that performance.

And getting a couple thousand from TikTok each week is a plus.

Somehow teams in the NFL pay players and they perform at high levels. It all comes down to coaching and the players willingness to work harder than the other teams.

Everyone else in the upper crust has this problem and gets better effort out of these millionaires than our staff. The problem is our staff doesn’t hold players accountable and probably spend as much time talking coachspeak jabberwocky in practice as they do in front of a microphone.

Yep. Since they don’t care I will take my time and energy elsewhere on Saturdays. The bright side is that I will now get to enjoy beautiful fall weather for once instead of wasting my time with watch parties and caring what these professional athletes do. Maybe now I will switch to NFL since they have contracts

Same here…it’s kinda nice to wake up and go meh… my wife (no pics) is an FSU alum and she said… I know how you feel…
The squint eyed look of confusion on DeBoer was the same expression Norvell had all last season for them and I expect a similar outcome for our season.

Pride and want-to. That's all it is.

Novella is coaching millionaires as well but because he isn't scared to hire a coordinator that isn't a close friend he has a new OC and DC who are very competent.

No, competence.

We have an incompetent DC who is way over his head and should have been fired last season but people protected and defended him.

We have one of the most talented defenses in the nation and we continually get exposed because our system is set up for failure and our DC isn't that great at gameplanning so he needs a half to get up to speed.

Great analogy. Perfect.

A team mirrors the coach's demeanor.

Coach acts disinterested, so will the team.

We make fun of Bryan Kelly...with good reason...but at least he acts like he WANTS to win and losing makes him mad.

When your head coach is also making 10 MILLION per year for what he did for 2 years in a conference that doesn't even exist anymore, it's not going work.

DeBore is making Nick Saban money, minus the 7 National Championships and winning culture.

Of course the soft-arse entitlement will bleed down to the players.

Wommack is the kind of guy to go to a fancy steakhouse, order a dry aged, prime filet well done, and ask the waiter where the ketchup is.
