The schedule now looks extremely ominous

There are only 2 guaranteed wins on the schedule, our non-conference cupcakes

Every game away from BDS is quite losable.

Of our home games, you may be a solid fav in only two of them (Wisconsin and Vandy)

9-3 seems like a BEST case scenario, involving you winning most of the games that are competitive.

A garbage year like 7-5 looms like a very real possibility.

Considering that our team looked listless in game 1, if shite goes sideways then I think the competitiveness only gets worse. We better hope they find something or they will be possibly worse than 7-5 including no bowl at all.

Where do those seven wins come from?

ULM
EIU
Wisconsin
Vandy?
Mizz?

If today is the level of performance we are to expect this season, 7-5 might be generous. Especially if the wheels come off after a few more losses.

Looking at the schedule I'm not sure 7-5 is a given

And quite a few of those teams have running QBs. Which we know Wommack’s dumb defense scheme can’t contain

DeBoer is 5-5 in his last 10. Byrne made an idiotic panic hire and now we’re about to pay the price literally and figuratively over the next few seasons.

Who should he have hired?

People act as if he wasn’t the hottest name in coaching.

If we lose to Vandy twice in two years, I don’t think we will be seeing DeBoer and staff past 2025. Some way they will make the money math work.

What other coach was actually going to consider the job at the time Saban stepped down ?

Someone hungry and not well known that would accept less than 10 million a year to come here and not be a pathetic wet noodle?

This. He looked clueless all day. Never gave a shite about poor calls, and looked generally lost all game.

Brother I don’t have any particular name in mind. What I’m saying is that I think Byrne panicked and brought in Kalen too quickly on a loaded contract to stop the attrition that may have followed Saban if he didn’t find a quick replacement.

I’m not saying any big name would’ve followed other than Kalen or whatever. But we could have taken our time and tried out someone who would’ve taken a less stacked contract. Now who? I’m not sure. But I’m sure Kalen isn’t it.

Not many. We identified the hottest coach at the time and hired him. Kirby wasn't leaving his Alma mater, Lanning wasn't leaving Nike money, Sark wasn't leaving Texas money, Dabo wasn't leaving the program he built, and Kiffin fricked a booster's wife. DeBoer was the best option at the time.

Booster with the beef with Kiffin needs to look in the mirror and ask why his wife was fricking around with football coaches and get over themselves.

We should’ve hired Kiffin and offered the boosters wife as a signing bonus.

Deboer says he is going to fix it. How do you fix not giving a shite?
