Seeing a lot of LSU fans thinking they got the best corners and wide receivers in the nation this year. I’d like to hear opinions from fans of other schools. What yall think?

Have not seen any Tiger fans say we have the best cornerbacks but WR as a whole is pretty special. Cornerbacks should be significantly better than last year but it’s the safety position that we were horrible at last year.

Seeing it all over social media. Not so much on here so maybe it’s more casuals. But saw some hyping that Stamps kid as one of the best returning cb. Then the VT corner who was third team ACC and the freshman who is like 6’5”. Not sure I’ve seen a corner that size so should be interesting.

LSU Hype

I think a lot of it is based on Garrett Nussmeier being a senior who's ranked as one of the nation's top QBs headed into the year (as is Cade Klubnik).

They definitely have a great group of receivers and a great QB, but as we know that was not their problem last year. I have heard nothing good about their defense from anyone besides LSU fans, but I will say that if they can muster up some semblance of defense this year, they will be a threat in the SEC. Of course, even if they do, BK will probably cost them a game or two to balance it out

The biggest concern for LSU this year is not the defense, it's the offensive line, IMHO.

Yeah having a proven qb return. They may have a shot making SEC championship because with so much turnover at that position I’m not sure who can be trusted when it’s game time.

True they need to get more out of their rushing attack to help Nuss.

Has anyone noticed that LSU and Cincinnati of the NFL are almost the same team? Pass every down, can't protect the QB, can't run the ball, and they must score at least 35 points in any given game cause the defense can't hold water. Must be in Burrow's contract.

I feel bad for Nuss. If they don’t get more production out the run game, he’s their offense.

LSU had good pass protection last year, two NFL tackles on the field.

As for Burrow, LSU ran the ball well when Burrow was on the team. Also had a good defense.

Your post makes no sense.

Agree with you, they need to run the ball better. Have some talented young running backs, goes back to the o-line to pave the way.

I'm not sure I understand the hype from the LSU fans who feel like we cake walk into the playoff or are a shoe-in for a natty this year.

This team still feels very flawed for a lot of reasons. I think if we get out of Clemson with a W, 10-2 is the ceiling. If we lose, we could be looking at 3 losses by October 1.

It's hard to say week 1 feels make or break, but for Brian Kelly, it sure feels make or break.

No need. Nuss complaining would be as stupid as Will Rogers telling Mike Leach I didn't come to Miss State to pass every down. Yes, he did.
