I kinda wanted Kentucky instead of Carolina. I get the whole regionalism thing with Carolina, but UGA has played Kentucky every year since 1956. It is a traditional SEC matchup with more to it in my opinion than UGA vs South Carolina.

Huge, huge moral victory. They're already talking about how they almost beat Georgia, how their QB played so well, and they get to continue to brag about how loud their stadium is (UGA had 0 false starts). We know how much Tennessee loves a moral victory (see them always posting their 75 yard TD run against UGA in 2023 even though they lost 38-10), so arguably this is more enjoyable for them then actually winning.

Elite defense for sure. Not going to give a judgement about the offense just yet. We played extremely vanilla last week, and although they did look bad at times (goal line series at the end of the first half for sure was terrible/OLine in first half), there were some positives to be taken. After next week I can give you a definite indictment of this team.
You've got to feel terrible for the guy. A) I could never wish something as terrible as cancer on anyone, even ol' Joe, and B) anytime I see something like this it always reminds me of how fast he faded. If you go back and look at clips of him from 2020 he was 10 times as sharp as he was in 2024. The crazier thing is that he was 30 times as sharp in 2016.

This really isn't that crazy when you think about it. There is a significant correlation between mental illness and those who are transgender and a significant amount of transgender people are suicidal. We prevent other mentally ill people from getting guns, what is so terrible about adding another group with mental problems (gender dysphoria is a mental problem in of itself, not to mention the suicide/depression rates) to the list?
I like the idea, but having it be open during the playoffs is so so stupid. It makes much more sense to open it the day after the national championship
Saban was "broken" after losing to Texas and just so happened to go out and put together perhaps the best coaching job of his career after that in 2023? Is that what we are going with? You can celebrate Bama losing in the way that they did, Lord knows that I was happy to see it, but let's not get carried away with the self-idolatry here, especially after getting clamped in Columbus

They definitely have a great group of receivers and a great QB, but as we know that was not their problem last year. I have heard nothing good about their defense from anyone besides LSU fans, but I will say that if they can muster up some semblance of defense this year, they will be a threat in the SEC. Of course, even if they do, BK will probably cost them a game or two to balance it out

I actually like Arkansas a lot this year. I think their QB combined with Petrino calling plays is a good mix for success. Definitely have to execute better, but if everything clicks I can see them winning 8 or 9 this year, maybe knocking off one of Notre Dame or Texas

It's hard to not prefer at least a decent matchup. It's nice to start the year 1-0 with an easy win but Marshall doesn't wake me up the same as Clemson did or Oregon did
Josh Pate is such a nothing burger. If you actually listen to him go over predictions he will say crap like "I think they will go 9-3, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they are better and I wouldn't be surprised if they are worse." His show is among the most nothing I've ever heard in around 70 minutes

I think UT wins but Cuse will definitely punch them in the mouth pretty good. Fran Brown has the experience against the Heupel offense and they do have a good bit coming back. Talent will overwhelm them in the end, give me Vols scoring a touchdown with ~5 minutes to go and getting a stop to win 27-17

Not sure if I like that one. I feel like we rarely cover against cupcakes, since we usually play pretty vanilla and are really just focused on getting 2nd and 3rd stringers reps against these teams
