I haven't really been following fall camp a ton, but in what little I have seen from interview/press conferences Deboer seems to be a lot more confident and comfortable headed into this season.
Not sure if that is due to him having a year under his belt and being more familiar with the program, or if he has a better feeling about this year's team. Probably a little bit of both.

Last year was rock bottom. Milroe and some others are gone. No where to go but up.

"Rock bottom" might be a tab bit hyperbolic

9-4 is hardly rock bottom. Kirby Smart went 8-5 his first season at UGA which included a loss to Vandy. But you never hear the media mention that.

Losing Grubb last year really hurt. Having Grub back has to be a big boost.Deboer knows he had some excellent athletes. We just need to pray that players remain healthy.

Had a friend attend that banquet the school does on the indoor practice facility where the coaches speak to boosters, last week. He said the coaches sounded extremely confident. Not sure if thats bravado and them trying to tell the boosters what they wanted to hear, or if they actually believe it.
Personally, I find it hard not to be confident with this roster. This team is stacked in the most important places.

9-4 will be Deboer's rock bottom at Bama.

I wish some reporter would ask him how he compares this Bama team to his last UW team that made it to the championship game

*a playoff caliber team, which was one play away from losing to three dog shite teams with the GOAT, that also lost half its roster to the draft or portal.
