The next 2 years. 9+Clemson and miami..

It will be the hardest schedule nationally

If that happens, we'll drop Miami with the quickness.

I just hope the scheduling powers that be, give us the 5 SEC home game when we play Clemson on the road and vice versa..

I don't see Miami staying on the schedule and frankly winning the SEC is more important than beating Clempson so drop them too.

The other thing the SEC added is that all SEC teams have to play a P4 team, so we will probably drop a few of our OOC games, but every team will have a P4 opponent outside the SEC

Agreed.Donati did say just yesterday that the clemson game would stay intact.

Now he may say that now and reverse course. We will see.

The implications of dropping the Clemson game on day-to-day life would astronomically suck balls, in addition to the fact I do not ever want to drop them anyway.

miami..

This is actually my biggest regret of the 9 game schedule. Because we do have Clemson, it feels like you can pretty much kiss home and homes vs the likes of Miami and VT goodbye.

It's a shame too. Those are the type of random and rare away games I personally like to attend.

B1G got the SEC to cave, SEC East schools will suffer the most with permanent or highly played ACC vs SEC games.

FIRE SANKEY!

Bigger conferences and more conferences games is just stupid anyways. It's regionalizing the game. You need interconnectivity to truly be able to rank teams. This just means we won't get those fun matchups anymore. We will play 16 or 17 teams and thats it. 12 was the perfect number for conferences

What makes CFB fun is the average Joe could hop in a car to see a road game. The closer the teams the more the fans can travel for a live game. Last time this all happened before the POTUS and Congress got involved and they formed the NCAA.

I agree with this to an extent. Playing UNC/NC State/ECU/Duke to start off seasons was fun. Those games all go away now.

That said, as bad as being an independent was for the university, some of those 80's schedules were awesome. Getting UGA/ND/FSU/Miami/SO CAL/ Duke/State/ is just neat. It was diverse. Now it probably be us getting 3 stupid teams like Mizzou/A&M/UK every year, and then a mix of the rest....and Clemson. It just lacks imagination and pageantry.

But you do bring up another point, which was the average joe hoping in his car to go watch. Greed has killed that. It's just flat out too expensive. Only one place I still believe has that magic and it's green bay, because its owned by the locals and there is a waitlist

Why do you think college championships are on weekdays now?

Weekends means actual fans can travel

Weekdays means corporate junkets where you are high enough in the food chain to not show up on Monday and not get fired.
