I didn’t realize Texas opens at Ohio State

Yeah, maybe it’s been an “Everybody knows that” story for a while, but I didn’t.
Sitting here now, I can’t even tell you who A&M starts with. CFB has lost a lot of my interest over the last few years. I’m still on the fence about even re-activating YTTV to be able to watch. (Thanks to NIL, the transfer portal, and Jimbo Fisher)
Gotta admit. That’s a tough bite, especially when opening weekend is such a crap shoot anyway.
Still, if there’s one thing most likely to galvanize support on this board, it’s playing those chodes.
In that spirit, Hook ‘em.

Bro we have been through hell, we lost to Maryland twice in a row we lost to cal, we lost to KANSAS FKIN TWICE, Arkansas put an epic beatdown on us sark's year one, we have gone 5-7 more times than I can count, Iowa st owned us, IOWA ST. The BYU game made me lose faith in humanity and I stuck by it. It may not be this year but you'll feel it one day and it feels fricking insane when you get there.

I watch it when it’s on.
I look forward to big Aggie games and bigger games between top programs.
I don’t scour recruiting boards, track NIL deals, obsess over any team I can claim as a “rival” (no matter how tenuously), or wear much team gear beyond a hat or hoodie. I am much more aligned with the school than I am a sports team.
So, no, I’m not obsessed with it, but I am a fan.
Now, if you want to live and die by the wins and losses of some paid mercenaries that will (mostly) never identify with the school the way traditional students will, have at it.

I remember when one of your fans made a .gif of Taysom Hill riding a dang bicycle down the field in his missionary attire. Riding over Texas defenders laying on the ground and waving at the crowd. That was hilarious.
