Didn’t see a thread. Per ON3
Edit: ON3 spelled his name wrong.
Joey Aguilar is correct
Not that it really matters but Augilar is only a “UCLA transfer” because he transferred there on Dec 28, 2024, and left in April 2025 after Nico Iamaleava transferred to UCLA. Augilar played the last two seasons for Appalachian State.

In fairness it was Arbuckle at WSU who turned Cam into a great QB. The same Arbuckle who did same with Mateer. Same Arbuckle who is now the OU OC.
Aguilar must be doing good in camp to get the nod. Or everyone else is doing so bad. We’ll know soon enough.

Honestly I’ll be rooting for this guy and Tennessee.
Heupel did the college football world a favor and refused to be held hostage by a singular player.

This is the most underrated Tennessee football team I've ever seen. We finally have the proper blue chip talent ranking to really compete for and win a national championship.
Our defense is deeper than it's been since the Chavis days. Dline is loaded and our linebackers are as deep as any group in the nation. Secondary will be led by future NFL players Jermod McCoy and Colton Hood and has plenty of young talent.
Running back room is just as loaded and deep.
Vols are back.
If Joey Football is as good as Hooker was in 2021 let alone 2022 we are winning a national championship.

He’s not. Your coach is fat and your QB is arse and you don’t have home field advantage in the TSIO either.

That's rough. He finished 93rd in FBS in QBR last year. Get ready for a long season Vols. I know y'all were happy about not paying Nico, but y'all got a pretty bad QB because of it. Is the principle of the situation really worth a shitty, wasted season because of it?
For some reason I looked a few months ago and he was ranked 93rd, but now it says 50th. SOS matters in QBR, so I think ESPN has a glitch when they switched his team to Tennessee that it bumped up his 2024 QBR assuming his stats were on Tennessee in 2024, because I swear it said 93rd a few months ago.

Cam Ward has always had “it”.
In his 2 seasons prior to Wazzu at Incarnate Word he threw for 6900 yards and 71 TD’s.

Even their own writers were saying how bad Aguilar has been in camp
Tennessee about to take a big step back

I expect OU will start identifying and developing home grown QB talent as long as he’s there, his run in Corvallis was incredible given the resources and situation.
