Is the College Football Playoff Committee Secretly Sabotaging Alabama’s 2025 Season?

Alright, SEC Rant, hear me out: is the CFP committee, with ESPN and the SEC office whispering in their ear, quietly sabotaging Alabama’s 2025 season? Think about it. Bama’s coming off a 9-4 ‘flop’—no playoff, first time since 2007—and the powers-that-be don’t want the Tide dominating the new 12-team playoff. Why? Another Saban-era dynasty rerun is ‘bad for ratings.’ Exhibit A: Ty Simpson’s the new QB, with zero starts, 381 yards, and zero TDs. Finebaum’s calling him a ‘game manager’ who won’t make dynamic plays—yet Bama fans think he’s the next Bryce Young? Suspicious. Exhibit B: Justice Haynes bolts to Michigan, leaving a thin RB room with Jam Miller and Richard Young, while their 2024 run defense got torched for 137.8 yards/game by Oklahoma and Tennessee. Exhibit C: that schedule—at Florida State, at Georgia, at Auburn? It’s like the SEC office handpicked a gauntlet to break Bama before the Iron Bowl. And don’t get me started on the ‘analytics’—you know the CFP committee’s obsessed with ‘strength of schedule’ metrics that’ll tank Bama’s ranking if Simpson stumbles. I’m not saying it’s a conspiracy, but it smells like the suits want a new SEC poster child, and Bama’s not it. Alabama fans, are y’all still sipping the ‘playoff Kool-Aid’ or seeing through this setup? Anyone else think the committee’s got it out for Tuscaloosa?

It’s always the world against bama. We’re the most hated for a reason. As Saban stated; once you climb the top of the mountain, you become the mountain. The NCAA does not want Bama at the top. They are pushing the mediocre programs historically over the last 50 years. Oregon, Texas, etc..
Soon they will be doing the same to Georgia, LSU and others.

Your definition of torched must be different than mine. By the way, did you know that Arkansas got torched a bunch? Arkansas gave up more than that a bunch. Here is how many rushing yards Arkansas’ defense allowed in a few games last seasons.
Texas Tech: 217 yards
Missouri: 148 yarda
Texas: 139 yards
Ole Miss: 132 yards (562 passing yards allowed).
Mississippi State: 162 yards
LSU: 158 yards (one of the few games they were successful running the ball.)
Tennessee: 174 yards
Auburn: 146 yards

Bama can have our schedule. I would take that trade any day.

Doubtful.
Ratings aren't generated by fans. Every team has fans, and their fan base is a small minority of the total number of fans out there. No, ratings are generated by HATERS. The teams with the most haters get the best ratings. They watch to root against them. So dynasties and rivalries are good for ratings. They generate hate.
Lots of people hate Bama and want to see them lose, so they are good for ratings. Ratings = money. What do CFB and ESPN truly love? Of course, it's money. So ask yourself, why in the world would they be trying to keep Bama out?

Correct, no thread about Arkansas would have any mention of the college football playoffs.

I did not expect an Alabama cope thread before the season even starts.
