A fan base that spends money on cheaply made athletic clothing isn't exactly a sign of being wealthy. The poorest people I see are the unemployed trash wearing Nike, Under Armor or Adidas on a weekday.

Also, while Kentucky's base is $7 they also get this additional in the new Nike contract:
Full Nike extension deal from LHL
So, as per usual, OP doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.
quote:
UK’s previous deal with Nike, signed in 2013, included an additional payment of $1.8 million per year from Nike to the school. The extension swaps that payment for a cumulative royalty agreement in which Nike pays UK a 15% royalty on the sale of all products but shoes that include UK logos. Nike will pay UK a 5% royalty on shoe sales.
Over the 10-year deal, Nike must pay UK at least $4 million in royalties. Nike will pay UK additional bonuses for success in football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball ranging from $10,000 for reaching the conference championship game in football, winning the conference tournament in basketball and reaching a super regional in baseball or softball to $100,000 for winning a football national championship.

Some reason you omitted the part where we're receiving royalty on all sales on top of that $7 million?
Of course you did.

Auburn: $8mm
This was for Auburn’s deal with Under Armour. Auburn switched to Nike officially about a month and half ago. I’m sure it went up but I never saw any details released.
