only going by the selectors listed on the graphic below. The National Football Foundation (MacArthur Bowl) and Football Writers Association of America (Grantland Rice Award) are not counted.

The breakdown is based on current conference affiliation, mainly for comparisons of the B1G and SEC since media today is so gung ho on the B1G being the “premiere” conference today.

Neat!

Alabama is responsible for 1/3 of the SEC’s trophies.

Good job team!

So it’s not the number you’ve been claiming all along?

We have 13 titles under the criteria listed in the OP (AP, UPI, BCS, Playoffs).

13 is 1/3 of 39

It’s really not that complicated

Not to nitpick but shouldn't Oklahoma's titles count for the conference it played in when it won those 7 titles, the Big 12?

But how many do you claim in that time period?

In your book. ….not complicated. Just asking.

I read the OP. There’s a discrepancy between theirs and yours. That’s all.

Mostly I want all of you to lose every game. It does Bama no good if Auburn or LSU wins a national championship.

I rarely pull for the “conference” but occasionally I find myself hoping if it’s not Bama, I want an SEC team to beat the shite out of the B1G. Lots of people think “If we can’t win it I want one of ‘us’ to win it.”

I guess it’s kind of like regional pride in the South. Proud of our heritage, culture, etc.

Wanna know how good Alabama was during the Saban years?

I concur with your sentiment about wanting another SEC school to win the title if LSU can’t…..to some extent.

The one team I could never pull for in that situation is Bama. Now, let me say that when Bama is kicking the crap out of a BIG or ACC team I’m usually laughing about it, but deep down I’m always wanting to see them lose.

Too many loses to them, 2011, Yeldon, Saban…. I’m fine with any other SEC school winning a Natty with the exception of Bama.

I respect the football program and Coach Saban, but I just can’t pull for them. Just some real talk.

I want everyone in the conference to win their OOC in the regular season, and then get their arse handed to them in the playoffs. Teams that lose their OOC games dont look as good on the resume, making them cheaper wins
