Ah the annual overrate Penn State so when Ohio State goes in dry on them it will look like an awesome win.

Penn St was close to being pre-season #1 too. Kinda wish they were. I don't like being #1. lol

I don't get the love for Clemson. That's the one team out of all 12 last year that 100% did not belong in the playoffs acc champs or not. They sucked

4th year QB, championship HC, made playoffs last year.

There's like 5 or 6 projected first round picks on that team. Klubnik is projected to go #1 overall. They've got 2 projected first rounders on the DL.

I'm not trying to "gotcha" and I truly don't know anythin about clemson this year, but are they really THAT much improved over last season. They had klubnick and a solid supporting cast last year coming into the season and got utterly embarrased by uga in the opener. They'd lose a total of 4 games and barely finish ranked.
Did they get some portal guys, or are people just thinking the guys they had last year will be improved?
Looking at their schedule they could probably play their 2nd string and still go .500 so I'm sure they'll be bakc in the playoffs regardless of how good they actually are.

Rule Change for 2025 Playoff
Top 4 seeds will get a bye based on Committee rankings.. not the 4 highest conference champs.. so here are the matchups if the season ended this way.
#1 Texas (bye)
#9 LSU at #8 Alabama
#4 Clemson (bye)
#12 Boise State at #5 Georgia
#2 Penn State (bye)
#10 Miami at #7 Oregon
#3 Ohio State (bye)
#11 Arizona State at #6 Notre Dame
Lots of possible rematches.. Two options as I see it.
Option 1 - The committee loads SEC teams on one side of the bracket and B1G teams on the other side.. doesn't really care about matchups..
Option 2 - The committee tries to balance out the rankings to avoid 1st or 2nd round rematches from the regular season..
Idk how they'll do it. I can see the argument for both.

I wish they'd make Penn St actually win a big game just once before pumping them every preseason. At least they get Oregon beyond their usual 1 game schedule.
