This kid is going to be special. Watching his tape this guy does a lot of really good things. He is a great down field blocker. He has size and gets great separation. He sells his routes very well. I feel like he could end up being our best weapon on offense this year. He has been clocked at 4.35 in the 40 with his average at 4.46. I would like to see him put on a little weight. So maybe him coming in between 220 and 230.

We should find out real quick this year if our receiving woes were due to talent, QB or routes last year. I’m starting to get excited about seeing what this team is capable of.

Please rename thread title to “Noah Thomas is going to be special.” I was scared I was opening a thread about an arrest.

We saw what Beck could do in 2023 and he was terrific. I just can't imagine that getting some money would make him regress THAAAT much in one season, so I think it has to be WR related. Well that and OL both.

I also think Rara and colbie being counted on and both being out hurt more than we may have realized. I'm hoping that Noah and Branch can be the spark that we sorely lacked last yera.

Who did we have in 23 but not in 24?

I can't tell is this is sarcasm or not, but if serious:

Brock Bowers
Ladd McConkey
Marcus R-J
Rara Thomas

We also had a much better OL and run game. Guys like Arian Smith and Dom are incredible when they're the 3/4/5 options in the pass game. Not QUITE as effective when they're your 1/2.

Common sense says all those guys didn't forget how to catch. They were all 4-5 star guys who were hs all stars. I really think Beck had an odd release and very little touch. QBs get so caught up in hitting a wr Instride they forget that throwing the ball in a way to get it caught is more important for chunk plays.

I also think Beck just couldn't extend plays to let guys get open.

Under normal circumstances I don't like it when we start out with cupcake games, but if there was ever a season where we needed to ease into battle, 2025 might be it.

I have all the faith in the world in Gunner, but it's the running backs and receivers that need to prove themselves in those first two tune-up games.

Gunner needs a couple of big guys that he can feel okay about throwing a 50/50 ball and let them go up and fight for it. That was one thing Brock Bowers did that we didn't do well last season. Hopefully guys like Thomas and Colby Young are spending a lot of practice time on winning contested catches.

A&M fans weren't glad to see him go, but they also weren't sad either is the takeaway I got from their message boards after he portaled. I guess we'll see how it goes.

I also think that the timing was off with Beck, but I also think that our receivers lost their confidence and got the yips, "here we go again."

Same thing happened back in 2006. Mo Mass got booed. Coach Eason sucked at coaching receivers. Coach Coley sucks at coaching receivers.

I just hope we finally get a 1,000 yard receiver.

I'm in the camp that thinks everything Coley touches turns to shite, except for recruiting. In a perfect world we'd lease one condo in metro Atlanta and one condo in south Florida for Coley to stay in and never come within 500 yards of the practice facility.

Plus that big TE. All that in the red zone with also the threat of Frazier and Stockton running

Hopefully Bobo can incorporate more back shoulder throws into the offense this year with these bigger receivers. It was a big part in AM11’s success and Gunner executed more of them in his limited action last year than I can remember Beck completing in his career.
