Choosing NIKE money, apparently. Also had Texas A&M and Alabama in his final group.

Long way to signing day, I"m sure the Aggies and Tide will keep the pressure on him to flip.

Should have seen this coming the moment he named Alabama his leader but Oregon people became extremely confident.

As his recruitment was winding down, Jones was fielding offers of over $1 million per year. The Ducks carried the momentum late into his decision and came out on top over Alabama and Texas A&M.

Alabama isn't going to pay an OLB over $1 million a year.

Best of luck to him at Oregon.

Maybe Alabama gets an opportunity to recruit him out of the portal in a couple of years. Never now these days.

Yes, when Oregon offered him 1-1.5 million, and Alabama already has 2 top 100 players projected to play the same position, it becomes difficult. Only so much $$$ you can allocate to the position only 1 one can play at a time.

I like that we are seeing teams front offices stick to their number

Guy on Tidefans said DeBoer/Saban told him to look elsewhere. Kid playing NIL game. Being unreasonable.

Hate this but Oregon was trending over the last two weeks.

LSU won a big one against Oregon somehow, at least for now.

How do the new deals work? If you sign something and it is cleared by the clearinghouse, is it a contract that commits you to that school?

Yeah when billionaires decided to play lets buy a championship, or even their trophy wives, you are fricked. Knight is said he will spend whatever it takes to see the Ducks win a natty before he dies.

I don't know why one of them just doesn't put u a billion or two and buy every 5 star for a decade or so.

We need a real salary cap

Recruiting might be easier to predict now if you study rosters. Days of stacking talent at one position is over.
