Napier should be fired for 7-5. 8-4 should get him fired but I don't think they would do it at 8-4.

I am going to be an optimist and say we go 9-3 which might get us in the playoff.

Agreed. He would more leeway if his record was not so terrible at UF.

We are not going close to 10-2..maybe if this Roster had better coaches...but it is very obvious our coaching staff is not that good on gameday sadly. Let's just add in a brutal schedule.

Man, I have no clue. Could be 11-1. Could be 1-11.

If Napier really handed over some of the play calling responsibilities, Lagway stays healthy and the defense builds on the 2nd half of last season, we will be as good as anyone. Love our depth on OL, our RB room and talented WR.

I am worried about depth at NT and Billy seems to make some bonehead play calls and miscues every week. A couple injuries in the wrong spots and this whole thing could crumble fast.

I will predict that at the end of the season we will not think our schedule is as hard as everyone is talking about now. LSU, Texas and Georgia lost a lot of talent. Heck, LSU and Texas could get exposed week 1. Kentucky and MSU seem to be playing more to their historical standards. Cam Ward covered up for a very meh Miami team last year and I don't think Carson Beck can do that. Overall, I just don't see it being the behemoth that is being predicted.

Same brutal schedule as last year. New president isn’t going to make waves.

Fans will gripe, but it’s probably going to be 7-5 and he’ll keep his job.

Everyone will expect/hope for a better record with the 2026 schedule.

They better not retain him at 7-5. That would literally be FL saying we don't expect results anymore. 19-19 with an atrocious 10-14 record in SEC games should 100% never get you a 5th year at UF if you go 7-5. 8-4 shouldn't be tolerated either but at least improvement could be claimed with that. Hard to see Napier surviving if he doesn't at least split the LSU and Miami games.

Agree completely, but Stricklin will not fire him midseason..he will still be holding out hope. Scott does not exactly expect success like Foley did.

We will get blown out as usual by Georgia and Texas. The other games are up in the air but Georgia has beaten us down brutally since Napier has been here do not see that changing..

They have beaten us up for 4 years by a total score of

Florida-67
Georgia- 153

There is zero reasonable reason to think that will change. They have one of the best coaches in the SEC, we have one of worst..add in they have 4 and 5 stars out the butt, and we do not have Urban or Zook recruiting, we are screwed.

We should compare our progress with LSU, Tenn, Ole Miss, Auburn types..not Georgia, Texas, Ohio State, etc till Napier is gone.

Stricklin is in a position now where he can fire the coach and not be fired himself though since the basketball hire is working out so good though. I agree if he did get fired it would be late in the season.
