Maybe LSU should look internally at their pitching coach staff? And take some damn accountability for wasting elite level arms out of HS. Hehehehe.

The reality is that Jay Johnson made a HUGE mistake by hiring Nate Yeskie away from A&M. It was a hiring that may have the most influence in A&M being so successful in baseball this year.

Do yourself a favor, or maybe not, look at Ags ERA from Yeskie in 2023 to MAX WEINER in 2024. Night and day in almost every meaningful category.

Yeskie seems to be past his prime or in some kind of 2-year coaching slump. Yet, Johnson has to live with it for at least one more year or he looks like a total jackass for the hire. And that really makes LSU baseball suffer longer term. Yeskie better provide some big results next year.

That is one of LSUs biggest problem.

It worked out well for everyone involved.

The jury is still out on that. Right now TAM is undefeated in the MCWS while LSU didn’t make it out of a regional. So far, it seems to have worked out a little better for TAM than LSU.

Next year is critical for Yeskie. If LSU doesn’t at least make it to a super regional he will have to be nervous. That will be two years in a row, and three out of four under Johnson, that LSU failed to make it out of a regional. The grumbling will be very loud. And that pressure, especially if the pitching wasn’t top three in the league, will likely lead Johnson to take a hard look at his staff simply out of self preservation.

In other news, LSU downgrades to Yeskie.

I was so excited for him to come with Schloss. The last 2 years pitching has been god awful. He was a major downgrade from Rob Childress.

Way overrated. Glad he’s gone

At least hiring Noah Cain got us recruits, this might make LSU worse

This isn’t sour grapes. This was a conversation on our board in early June.

Yeskie has been terrible, so who cares honestly

He definitely underwhelmed this season.

quote:
He's 2/2 in not getting results. But he is talked up by everyone and then some. Its hard to really know. It especially stinks after having RC pump out good college arm after good college arm. We had a factory of good to great pitchers.

Don’t believe me. The #s speak for themselves.

2023 - 5.67 ERA, 1.61 WHIP
2022 - 4.67 ERA, 1.42 WHIP

Mediocre

He doesn’t know what those numbers mean. They are just here to troll.

Yeah your boy Nate Yeskie is a hoot

Don't worry. Sidewalk stands by his claim that it was a great hire for LSU.

I would expect that. LSU fans care more than any fan base. That doesn’t mean others care. Sure Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss and State are fans but no one outside of LSU fan wants to talk about it after the season. And honestly, you’re the only LSU fan I see wanting to talk about it.

It's better than football recruiting in July. Not much else to talk about. It's pretty funny seeing these posts. Not as good as Orgeron winning a championship at LSU. Still fun to see fans hate on a former coach when he's successful at your school.

If someone doesn't want to talk about college baseball, I'd assume they could behave like a mature adult and simply scroll past baseball threads.

I'm not a college basketball fan and you won't find me in college basketball threads crying about the sport.

In fact, the only time I ever observe that behavior is crying over college baseball and it's mostly from Alabama fans.

So that leads to the question. Why are Alabama fans such bitches?

It’s college baseball. On par with women’s basketball and softball. LSU fans have always cared more than anyone else. They travel better than any other base. Spend more on their roster than any other program.

It doesn’t mean that anyone else gives two shits about it this time of year. Wait until football ends.

You totally misspelled "my team SUCKS in baseball, therefore, no one should post about it".... You're welcome for the fix. Should we be exclusive to the always on point pre-season polls or all conference pre-season selections

Your season ended a month ago.

Just say “let’s talk baseball because I have no in football.”
