This is a pretty bad take, you clearly haven’t been to a game in Lubbock or know tech fans.
Also, our message board is clearly full of idiots who don’t get we aren’t the only university with money or that it could actually be a blessing to not have to over pay for a kid depending on our own NIL budget, how we want to manage our current players NIL budget, etc. Not making a single excuse kid chose his future and can’t blame him one bit but it could be a blessing.

I'm not shocked at all he took the offer, I am shocked that they're willing to pay that and broadcast it. Not ideal for the locker room

Nah. This happens to us all the time. We're rarely the highest bidder. There's a team in the conference that's not a football power that's done it a couple of times to us.

For weeks on end this kid has been saying it was between Texas and Ohio State. Many other recruits turned their heads to other schools with this knowledge. I blame first of all a bad agent for this kid, ad secondly both schools for making assumptions on his choice of schools .
