Which is interesting since the Coaches Poll didn't exist until 1950. But at least they finally have something on display in the Hall of Champions, I guess.

My favorite thing Aggies say is they don’t count head to head records when it was a military school before 1965, yet claim a 1939 championship, their only championship by the way

I want to say the AFCA initially went back and presented one to each team that had won the coaches poll. And then later let teams submit a request for one if they won a title pre-1950. I think it had to be reviewed and approved by the AFCA though.

"reviewed and approved" = paid by boosters or T Boone Pickens

The funny thing is that it’s actually not and never was a military school. It’s pretend military with no requirement to go into the military upon graduation.

My favorite is how they claim 2 Big 12 titles where they didn’t even make the conference championship game in one and lost by like 40 in the other. They have them on their fricking stadium
