BOL - The truth

Please quit posting quotes from BOL and acting like it's the current pulse of Bama Nation.

Fact 1: There isn't a general consensus on how ALL BAMA fans feel all the time, some of us are well informed and enjoy all aspects of college football, some live to hate Auburn, LSU etc, some don't care about anything except Alabama.

Fact 2: Those of us who truly enjoy football and discussing it don't like sites like BOL because they stand against negativity. If you are at all pessimistic or realistic you get accused of being a "gaytord" or a "corndog" by one of the hundreds of morons who know little about football in general.

Fact 3: There was a thread over there the other day about how some guy wasn't going to have to take off work for NSD because he was fired.... and about 8 other people responded "hell yeah me too". These are the people you choose to make fun of?


I don't post on BOL and never will, I go there for recruiting information and because I believe the mods do a respectable job. I think it's utterly pointless to read most of those threads because it's a discussion amongst people who agree on everything Bama. The Bama fans here on TD are here because we don't mind getting flamed. Want to have a better understanding of the SEC at large, and because the SEC rant appears to be the best forum around to speak about stuff with fans from other schools without having to constantly beat your head against a wall. You won't see discussions about what Chaz did and hear two sides to it you hadn't considered. "Fan" is short for "Fanatic" we all have our version of the truth shaded by our favorite team it's nice to come to a board where I know I won't get the "crimson version".

Please, we all know the average poster on BOL is mildly retarded, has a hard-on for Saban, and couldn't name a starter off of LSU's roster when Saban was there. I don't go scouring Louisiana mental institutions asking about "The Hat" and throwing them in your face.
