and all other results remained the same would they have entered bowl season 3rd? not jumping undefeated cream puff schedule Virginia Tech? I think back then undefeated meant more than anything....obviously if it was today's time period they would have moonsaulted over the Hokies.

that was a terrible loss. what was funny was going to the MSU game that year at home. some of the state fans, understandably, trolled me as i walked by "what about that LA Tech!"

Does it matter? That team wasn’t beating Florida State. They couldn’t even beat Michigan.

We won’t three games this season but some random Alabama fan is still losing sleep because we beat them a quarter of a century ago

I doubt it. I was a walk-on at Bama from 1997-2000. VT beat our asses like a drum in the 1998 Music City Bowl.
