My neighbor fishes all the time and loves your lures. I told him that you and I are close, personal E-friends and that you look up to me for my weather advice.

Nice. Always good to hear good feel stories.

The past decade as an auburn and college sports fan has taken a serious toll on the natives here

Apparently so. Man you cant let these things get you down. Its why I dont get my expectations up. For football, I feel pretty confident where we will be under our current administration. So, I fish more, drink more and work longer.

But for real, it has been totally dead around here. Crazy dead...... Hope you are doing well up there and getting some good weather. All my boys in Georgia are crying the blues about the shite weather in north Georiga right now. Hell, it was in the 50's up there this morning and its almost June

Baseball has a big thread but that's the only major sport going for AU right now.

FB recruiting threads used to carry us over the summer but with the bottom line being $$$ the wind has been taken out of the sails.

Yeah after spring practice football kinda dies from May - end of June now. Anticipation starts building up in July still though

Everyone just has football fatigue

I'm not even down in the dumps about it, I'm just tired of talking and reading about it and then watching a mind-numbingly inept season of it, only to have the same conversations and debates again the following off season. I will say I've thought multiple times during this stretch that I need to put a little more respect on the diehard Ole Miss and MSU fans of old who dealt with this year in and year out forever.

I think that particularly kicks in when you think you might be a couple seasons away from a change no matter what (ie, last season). I do expect this year to be a bit more interesting, both because we have more talent and should have more on-field things to talk about, and because there is a more realistic possibility of a coaching change if things continue to remain agonizingly sluggish.

I have been working crazy hours closing out the school year and doing PT for 4 bulging lumbar discs. I have been trying to keep up with baseball. I hope all members of the Auburn family had a great Memorial Day weekend.

2014- 2024 win loss records have been far from Auburn-like. We need some high points again so our animal spirits can come back alive. Not the mediocre bullshite where a 4 loss season is a great season.
The 90's decade:
11-0
9-1-1
10-3
8-4
8-4
and the rest were shite.

80's decade
11-1
9-1-2
10-2
10-2
10-2
9-4
8-4

2000s
13-0
11-2
9-3
9-4
9-4

2010
14-0
12-2
9-4

2020s decade is competing with the 1960s.

Sounds like fun. Old men and their back problems. Sucks to no end

Ive been working a decent amount. Business has not be fantastic this year. So so at best. Fishing has been off and the weather in a good many of my big selling areas have hurt sales along with the new technology. I need to make some adjustments.

Ive just been Florida'ing hard down here. Well, without the mullet, jorts and meth. Spending a lot of time on the boat fishing and with the wife. We spent 4 of the last 5 days in the GOA on the boat just blasting tunes, exploring the coast and having cocktails. Been a blast. Back to work today.;..

Spent a few days in the pool and even played a few rounds of golf. Though its about to get too hot for that shite unless its early in the day. The boat is where its at right now.

I may take Friday off and fish in Sarasota bay. I found some good new places to fish over the last few days boating. I many get out there and try them out.

Dan, some anon on the main board called you a great Auburn poster last week and for your information I agree with anon.

Auburn winning is fun. Football needs to get back there. Bruce and Butch cant carry the crowd by themselves if the football team gets the lion share of the money.

Im shinning it up a bit as usual but yes, it has been fun the last few years. Trying to get some good years in before something comes along and beats my arse. You know its coming, just not sure when or what.

Business needs to pick up or things will slow down.

I think I need to make some changes there. Just not exactly sure WTF Im gonna do yet.

My entire boating life, I have stayed away from crowds. Now this weekend, I purposely went out on the busiest boating weekend of the year and had a blast. We went to the AquaPalooza boating event Sunday in Sarasota. Have no idea how many boats. Too many to count but we had a damn blast.

This is the video from last years event. It was even bigger this year

This month has been busy for me, looking forward to a slower June. My second kid graduated AU this May, which is great. Got one more that will hopefully get in next year. Although, AU admissions have been strange the last couple of years. We know kids that got into UGA, that were flat denied by AU, which has never happened. Hoping it gets ironed out soon.

Did something incredible last week, probably make an OT Lounge post about it when I can. Porsche Driving Experience at Barber Motorsports Park. I drove 20+ new Porsches as hard as I could. It was probably the coolest thing in a while, including 8.5gs in an F-15.

Need to give the liver a rest in June. Lots of beer was consumed this past month.
