I used to study that thing cover to cover!!

I was always too cheap. I'd sit on the bench in the back of BAM and read them cover to cover.

Used to have stacks of Lindy’s, Eastbay, Becketts card price guide. When the new Lindy’s dropped for preseason it was a must buy for many years for me.

Wife or mom buys for me. Year long tradition that I’ve passed on to my boys. We read every word! Miss the expanded cheerleader section from years gone by!

I used to but not any more. The only question was whether you got all 3 back in the day. In order of accuracy:

1. Phil Steele
2. Lindy's
3. Athlon.

I might skip Athlon, but usually all three mags were neatly stacked on the toilet tank in my house every fall.

Nope. We are officially living in the football age of information overload. I'd rather listen to Josh Pate theorize on the SEC and be done with it then spend the money and get less. Much less.

It was always the same issue year after year. They were notorious for sunshine pumping the teams with larger fanbases regardless of how good the teams actually were or even predicted to do by more prominent journalists. I get it. They were out to make money. But it was never to be taken seriously. It was just marketing.
