Florida should be in Tier 8, eventual CWS winner

You have a team with a 40-15 record, a. current rpi of #9, a current ELO of #14, and projected to host a regional in tier 4.

You have the current #1 and #2 teams in RPI in tier 3.

You have the number #8 team in RPI in tier 1.

Why is this?

there's really two tiers. the top 10 or so of the SEC and the rest. there's no one heads and shoulders above anyone else. Arkansas is probably the best but they can't play Texas every day

Has there ever been a time in the sec where there is more of a discrepancy in the strength of conference schedules?

Auburn is 5-1 against your Tier 1 and has an RPI ahead of all three.

Maybe scrap this and try again.

No, looks pretty accurate. They won the series they would be expected to win with one upset. They lost the series they would be expected to with two upsets. They got swept by zero teams. Nope, #9 looks pretty accurate.

SEC was crazy this year. Hope Omaha turns into an SEC tournament. We know it won’t because crazy things happen in this great sport. But what an amazing league. Good job everyone except Aggies and mizzou. Still can’t believe hogs lost a series to the Aggies.. but overall, great year.

Just mouthy 3rd or 4th place team. Funny how some of these fans think opinion outranks facts. Won 2 of 3

This is largely fact. I bet every team can point to a couple of games where just a play or two cost them a game and at least 3 or 4 spots in the standings. The margin for error was razor thin in the SEC this year because so many teams were so evenly matched.

Then why did you post? That’s exactly where he has them.

This is why. Strange to put a team that is likely going to host a regional in the “the SEC tournament is where their season ends” tier. He put Florida there too.

quote:

Tier 4: The sec tourney is about it for them

Alabama
Kentucky
South Carolina
Oklahoma
Florida

Alabama and Florida are locks for the NCAA tourney. Oklahoma likely makes it. Kentucky may. Over half of his tier 4, according to him all teams whose seasons end in Hoover, will make the NCAA tournament. According to the OP, only 8 SEC teams will make the NCAA tournament. Most people, obviously not you, see how flawed this is.

But that isn’t all that is wrong. He also has the two top ranked RPI teams in tier 3, behind 4 teams that are ranked below them.

But I am not surprised to see you in here supporting such flawed logic. Not surprised at all.

I could post “the sun rises in the east and sets in the west” and some of you would want to argue about it.

Pretty accurate for the complete regular season.
No team has been gutted like Florida.
Season ending injuries to their catcher, second baseman, center fielder and top reliever. Also missing is the staring short stop.
Started 1-11 and recently won their last 6 series including Ark and Texas on the road.
Starting Monday there are no tiers.

It's an obvious shite list. It's an attempt at trolling but with an IQ sub 90
