• Player of the Week: Auburn’s Eric Guevara led the league in average (.800), hits (12), total bases (22) and on-base percentage (.813) to help lead the Tigers to a sweep of South Carolina. He also tied teammates Lucas Steele and Chris Rembert for the league lead in runs (seven) and ranked second to Steele in slugging percentage (1.467) and tied with Rembert for second in RBI (nine). Guevara became the first SEC player to record 12 hits in a conference series since Tanner Allen (Mississippi State) did so against South Carolina in 2019. Guevara collected four hits in three straight games, marking a career high in the category. He finished a double shy of the cycle and drove in a career high five runs in the series opener.
• Pitcher of the Week: Mississippi State’s Evan Siary posted a career-high 15 strikeouts over a career-long eight shutout innings in Mississippi State’s 4-1 win against No. 24 Ole Miss in the second game of a doubleheader last Friday. Siary did not walk any Rebels and scattered six hits on a career-high 98 pitches. Siary’s strikeout total was the most of any pitcher during conference play this season and ties LSU’s Anthony Eyanson’s performance against North Alabama on March 8 for the most by any SEC hurler in 2025. Siary improved to 2-1 on the mound and lowered his ERA to 4.06 on the year.
• Freshman of the Week: Florida’s Aidan King fired 7.0 shutout, two-hit innings to record the series-clinching victory for the Gators at No. 1 Texas. King struck out a career-high nine batters while allowing just two hits and three walks. His 7.0 innings and 110 pitches also signified career highs. The rookie’s fifth victory of the year gave the No. 1 Longhorns their first series loss at home this season. King held the Longhorns to a .087 batting average in just his 10th-career start.

Florida has turned it up to 11... I doubt anyone who saw you guys getting swept in multiple series earlier in the season would have expected you to take both the Arkansas and Texas series.
Going to be a hell of a series this weekend.

Crazy that AU could finish anywhere between 2nd and 10th in the league with just one weekend left.

Even 15th place is still attainable for missouri.

I read yesterday that the State game was cancelled due to the amount of rain received over the weekend and more expected today.

UF has basically been playing quasi-elimination games for a month. Hopefully we can keep grinding, but having to win with your backs against the wall can be exhausting. If we don't bring our A game vs Bama we will get clobbered, to borrow a word from the Ol' Ball Coach. But I think we show up and this is a great series. In my opinion, Bama will host unless you get swept, and I think the only way UF hosts is a sweep. If Bama sweeps we probably go back to a 3 seed.

It's the last week of the regular season. It goes by so fast.

It depends if our pitching can hold up.
We haven't been swept all season, thanks to inverting our pitching rotation; however, we've only won 4 series (Missouri, A&M, Oklahoma, and Georgia).

If Florida is a 2 seed would you rather go to FSU or UNC if you had a choice?
Posted on 5/13/25 at 9:18 am to skrayper
Our pitching is inverted because of all the rain weekend before this past. We started our Sunday guy on Friday, our Friday guy on Saturday, and our Saturday guy on Sunday.
The only one that lost was our #1 pitcher who started Saturday instead of Friday.
So you just never know.

Watching FSU gives me the heebie jeebies. They are so damn ghey with the shite they do. I'll take Carolina, but really I am just happy to get in the postseason. We will take our happy asses anywhere they tell us.

Those gifs crack me up!
1st trip back to Cockyville since "THE TARPENING"
Which some LSU fans say cost you a conference title.
2023 Final Baseball Standings:
Arkansas 20-10
Florida 20-10
LSU 19-10

This is true though Jax State has a better RPI (92) than I thought.

Why play midweek games out this point? What’s the upside?

I think the Tuesday of the final week of the season is used to get some players their last reps before they don’t play during post season. Probably work on some pitchers you’ll need to rely on if you make a deep run. Historically everyone plays a bad team this week.
