No excuses. You took it to us this weekend. Simply the much better team. We were due for a letdown and boy did you let us have it.
Good luck going forward. You will a force to be reckoned with in the tourney.

Y'all were due. So was Arkansas. Ain't no team 5 games better than the field this year.

agreed. Baseball is a streaky sport. I just hope this slump doesn't carry over into next weekend. It can do that to you sometimes.

Ours lasted 3 weekends. Baseball is a helluva drug.

We went through a slump too… every team in the SEC has. Mizzou has been on a slump since February.

Thanks. It’s good to start our gauntlet out in a positive way. Needed a boost after dropping three series. Texas at home was the medicine we needed. We just need to carry the momentum down to BR and try and finish strong. I like where we are at the moment.

Congrats Hogs. Going in I didn’t expect either team would sweep. What stings most is not only that we got swept but the manner in which we did. Either being dominated or the Hogs firmly in control.

I saw last week that y’all had the highest batting average in SEC. I told myself that good pitching beats good hitting so we’ll be fine. Horns had neither, and Hogs had plenty of both.

Y’all will do some damage in postseason. Congrats again.

If we can eek past AnM today, that LSU/Arky series is gonna be LIT, with both teams going into it cocky and frothing at the mouth. Gonna be some GREAT baseball at the box!!!!

Your first real road challenge was a bust. Expect the same if you even make it to Omaha

Maybe. Everyone is forgetting that this was supposed to be a rebuilding year for Horns w new coach, young team, and lots of holes. So they’ve probably over performed so far, but I’d say they’re also way ahead of schedule. I don’t think we’d sweep MSU and A&M again, and I think we drew LSU when they were still sorting some things out (and when we still had our ace and our best hitter).

But I think we can compete w anyone not named Arkansas. Will be curious to see how Horns respond to this butt kicking, if they rise up or if they let it define them the rest of the way.

I was expecting at least a couple of losses this weekend. But I didn't expect it to be so lopsided, or for us to walk so many batters. Even Volantis walks 2 and gives up a moonshot. To a lefty. They beat us in every facet of the game.

Yeah our team just wasn't ready for what they were walking into. All props to Arkansas though they came to play.
We'll see if we can bounce back this weekend.

Some days you’re the windshield, some days you’re the bug. Such is baseball.

Never seen a game at the Box but I bet it would be a good time. I could probably get a ticket from the Shreveport Country Cajun Cowboy. Need to start blocking out some travel time for the baseball team as I’d like to see the Box, Noble Field and a game in Knoxville. Have good memories of Knoxville but just from hanging out with a really cool South Carolina fan named Bart.

That was a woodshed beating and all ya can do is tip the cap. I am glad work flew me to Atlanta because otherwise I would have been there to get housed. I'd rather at least go when we win 1 or shite even any of the games were close.
