Heck of a run, and I was fine with Herbie carrying him the last few years. You stand by your mentors.

Ah, frick it
Corso wasn't the same after his stroke, but he more than earned the right to end his tenure how he saw fit. 4 decades of being a face of the sport

They should bring back Fowler and the Pony for a reunion.

ETA: I should have known better, but not entirely unbelievable.
I hadn’t seen this before looking around after posting the OP.

Saturday Blitz: ESPN announces major change to College GameDay for 2025 season

ESPN College GameDay, which has been broadcast live from colleges across the country every Saturday morning since 1993, will now return to a studio-only show, featuring a drastically reduced cast. The move is being touted as a cost-saving decision, given the network's financial struggles.

It is great when you don't go to the same places all the time, but when there are a few teams that you constantly go to, it isn't as exciting for the fans. They should make an effort to not always choose the biggest game, and spread themselves around more.

A DII campus in the Playoffs would be great.

That article was a satire article from April Fools’ Day. It got posted here then.

Agreed. There are myriad great stories to tell, and plenty of fans show up for games that are not Top 20 matchups. Their fixation on that qualifier is somewhat indicative of the problems in the sport these days.

Leach on that show would have been incredible

I was never a huge fan of his thing, but he brought fun to his job and his place in college football history is undeniable.
