So instead of doubling his salary, it's about to be cut in half. Not to mention an upcoming 5-7 season with a shitty team, fanbase that never fill up the stadium, and a ruined reputation.

Posted this in another thread:
Seeing social media chatter that he's getting "somewhat north of $1 million" and the new party line from Daddy and his buddy is that it was never about money, "It was about the Tennessee offense."

And from a quick look through the UCLA boards ... there are some ... fans seen rather lukewarm about this. They just signed Appy State's QB who had much better stats than Nico last year ... yes, I'm aware the competition level was different.
And for those who may have missed it, UCLA hired Vinnie Sunseri's brother, who was co-offensive coordinator and QB coach for Indiana last year, as their OC so they're trying to get a little serious.

Competition is what is needed to push each other to do better.

I would rather have Josh Heupel calling plays and play behind an SEC offensive line with playoff experience, but that’s just me.

Doesn't California heavily tax the athletes in their state as well?

Well according to On3 Joey Aguilar, who transferred from Appy State, is now saying “#$&& this” and exploring his options.

Yep. Every dollar over $432,800 in California is taxed at 11.3% and then every dollar over $721,300 is taxed at 12.3%. Even worse, every dollar over $70,300 is taxed at least 9.3%
Team Nico's negotiating skills yielded HALF the money to be taxed at least 10% more than what it would have been at Tennessee

You better hope so, they by far pump the most money into the American economy

The California government pumps money into the American economy?
Is...that really your take? That government entities are net producers, not takers?

Again, it's not close.

That is the state of California. That is not the government of California. The government of California isn't injecting ANYTHING into the economy.
Again, governments are not net producers. They are net takers. Just because the state of California happens to inhabit a large coast with great weather does not mean the government of the state of California is somehow doing something we should all be envious of. It's the exact opposite. It is one of the most dysfunctional states in the country.

The state itself is in the hole as are most states but because of Big Tech and Hollywood America would be in much worse shape without California.

Iamaleava's representatives reached out to Oregon to gauge its interest in the quarterback, but the school said it wasn't interested, sources told ESPN. Oregon then notified Tennessee that Iamaleava was being shopped to the Ducks.
Pretty cool on the Ducks part

the state of California pumps 4.1 trillion dollars into Americas economy, they actually have the 6th highest gdp in the world and they're a state.
The government of the state of California is flat broke. They are pumping nothing into anything.

Simply not true. The USA would be just fine without the state of California. They might have the largest coastline, but they're not the only coastline.

This is dumb. If California broke away from the United States tomorrow and floated out into the pacific they’d be the 5th largest economy in the world not attached to the US.

I just showed you the graph of how much they pump into the economy.
Yes, you are talking about the economy of the state of California, which would completely exist without the state government of California, because I called out your stupid comment justifying the state of California overtaxing athletes.
The state government of California is in such bad shape they are suing retirees who are daring to pull side gigs as consultants in retirement. LINK We would be far better off as a country without the people who think like the government of California.

California is by far the richest state in America, sure their citizens bear the brunt of it with the taxes and all but when a disaster happens in the south, Tornado, Hurricane whatever.
California is mostly to thank for building is back.
