More like they picked the wrong game to shoot 50 percent from three point range.

This is the answer. There was no way Alabama was beating Duke shooting 8-32 (25%) from three and 23-65 (35%) overall. Duke on the other hand shot 46% from 3 and 54% overall and 19-22 on free throws. It felt like Alabama couldn’t buy a basket and Duke couldn’t miss at times.

Alabama actually had 9 more shot attempts than Duke. A lot of the credit goes to Duke’s defense. But Alabama missed a LOT of open shots they normally make.

Cooper Flagg had one of his worst games of the season, that humiliation of Alabama would have been worse if Flagg has an average game for him.

bullshite. Bama finally faces a team that defends the perimeter and they get bounced from the tourney. Every time bama ran up against a team that played defense, their offense crumbled.

Bama played the toughest schedule in the nation and beat two of the number one seeds during the regular season. You're a fricking retard.

Look at the Final 4 teams, all of them have a dude that can get the ball in the post and score the ball one on one. Alabama does not have that player and Nate Oats has never built a team with that in mind.

no you didnt and the only reason you claim that is because AUBURN was on your schedule. Bama played a normal SEC schedule and some charmin soft tourney opponents.

Yes, Bama did play the toughest schedule in the country. Auburn and Bama’s were insanely similar. 2 of the toughest ever IIRC.

Common non-con opponents:
Duke
UNC
Creighton
Houston
Purdue

No they didnt. Auburn played the hardest schedule in the country. Not sure why you are having a hard time wrapping your head around it. We still have a number 1 seed Florida to play. We played more Quad 1 games and won them. Our road to Final four included the Michigan and Michigan St, both won their conference Championship, Tourney and Regular season respectively.

There are some teams you can afford to have an off day against.

Duke is absolutely NOT one of those teams. Alabama was only going to win with their A game; failing that, it didn't matter if Duke brought their A game or not.

making the final four is hard, especially when you have a horrendous shooting night?

Duke gets the game called they all need, especially when they have have the top player and everyone picking them.

You need a free throw game, they shoot nigh 30 vs. Arizona, you need a physical game where a run and gun like team gets pushed off their spot in a physical manner all game? BOOM, you get what you need, with 8 minutes left Bama was 5 for 5 and Duke was 8 for 10, so the decide with a team that like to run to allow physicality with no calls, who does that favor? A team that like to get shots off in the paint.

How can you have a regular season where teams get 20-35 free throws on a regular basis, and then get a game lie this? Refs decide the action. A team like Houston or Auburn has a much better chance because both like to muck it up. BUT............Watch, vs. Houston it will be back to, NO, you can't touch anyone its Free Throws, Duke will beat Houston and they will have 30 FT again.

Refs in CBB are a joke.

It's almost like great defense affects 3 point shooting.
