I am impressed with BK at 9 but more impressed with Marcus Freeman at 4.

Marcus Freeman over half a dozen other coaches who've actually built up programs is something. He obviously put him there due to the most recent season and not overall.

If the bowl game vs. Texas was any indicator of how he can coach, Kenny Dillingham is very underrated on this list.

I don't think I understand why Kelly is above some of the others he's ahead of. Ditto for james "beat the scrubs in my conference and lose to the top 2 teams yearly but still finish in the top 10" franklin.
I DO absolutley agree with dabo tumbling down these lists as he's one of the biggest frauds on these lists annually. Hard to argue with the top 3, although i'd be inclined to put sark at 2.

Not having Kyle Whittingham on here is kind of wild to me

Click bait nonsense.
He got Kirby right, and that's bout it.

We will wait and see how the first game go for LSU against Clemson this coming season.

Well I believe it's a list of who he believes is currently the better coach. It's not necessarily a lifetime achievement award.

This is fun to talk about . What would be your top 10?

Last time I checked, Kiffin beat Franklin in the Peach Bowl. Not sure how playing a weak schedule makes Franklin a better coach when he got beat in a head up matchup.....

Was that this past season?

Tell us more about the time BK snuck into your padded room and punctured your Dorkwitz inflatable.

As a head coach Sarkisian has only won one title in his career, the 2023 Big 12 title. He has an overall record of 84-52. He has been a head coach 9 years at three solid programs; Washington, USC, and Texas. If anything, I would move him down the list based on his 61.7% winning percentage and lack of titles. Is he top 10? Sure. Top 3? No, not until he improves on that winning percentage and wins some conference or national titles.
He has had success at Texas the last two seasons. But his overall record is 38-17. He has a 69% current winning percentage as Texas head coach. Texas has an all time winning percentage of 70%. It will probably change this year, but so far he has performed just below Texas’ historical average. I don’t think that is a top 3 coach resume builder.

Do you agree that Freeman has done a better job last season than BK? How will this season go for those two coaches?

If you want to give Franklin credit for what he did at vandy 10+ years ago, ok maybe. Turning Penn state into a perennial 9-3/10-2 team that has no hope at ever winning of anything of significance isn't impressive at all.

he is a fraud. I have made numerous lengthy posts on the topic in the past but don't feel like digging them up. The whole entire career of dabo is sipmly that he recruited deshaun and trevor nearly back to back. Those 2 individuals are the cause of the overwhelming vast majority of everythign he's accomplished. His record, in a pitifully weak conference mind you, without the megastud #1 overall NFL draft pick is borderline mediocre.

quote:So, if Freeman and Notre Dame finish with 4 losses this year due to losing veterans, and LSU finishes with 2 losses due to having some veteran players, that makes Kelly a better coach 12 months later?
Well I believe it's a list of who he believes is currently the better coach. It's not necessarily a lifetime achievement award.
His list is lazy.
