Kid is a true freshman, a star and has a Hollywood-sized personality.

He has been an impact player in most big games this year which situates him right there with Isaac Okoro and Jabari on the freshmen shouldnt already be able to do that spectrum but he is doing it at point guard which makes it even more impressive.

Is he gone after this year? That would be a pill.

He’s really good and has the potential.

I guess they can explore that option later.

His knock for pro play is his size, unfortunately. He doesn’t show up on many mocks. Think we get a couple more years with him either way.

I bet he explores the option but damn, the way he is playing he might scoot into the first round.

The floater after he split defenders was sick.

Great. We need to examine the idea of letting Pettiford run the 2 once Magwood comes in.

He could be an extremely effective off ball guard. Playing point for us or not he is a pure scorer.

Is Bruce cornering the market on college studs the NBA doesn't want? If the NBA doesn't want Pettiford then twist my arm.

I sure hope not. Most NBA analysis I've seen don't have him getting drafted next year due to his size.

Kid can ball though.

And he is still learning how to play PG. He was just a pure scorer in HS so never really had to learn how to truly operate an offense. We can see the efficiency drop sometimes when he comes in for Denver, but he's still learning the job.

The NBA game sucks now, unfortunately.

Shariffe Cooper was 48th pick.

I don’t know for sure IF Pettiford has more potential than Cooper.

TP is a better scorer, SC was a magical passer.

I hope we can get another season or 2 with TP.

Either way at least now you can audition and get a real evaluation/grade for draft.

Hard to return IF you are a top 10 pick.

It is a worldwide draft and many teams are looking for a 2/3/4 interchangeable wing player who can switch 1-4.

I am not a GM. There is a lot to like about TPs game.

Glad he’s with us.

TP has better physical attributes than SC and a better shot. But I think NBA teams will be cautious of him because he’s so ball dominant and scoring minded given his size.

How much bigger is he?
Height about the same?
Weight? TP does look thicker.

SC has a sic handle.

Pettiford is very short for NBA standards a lot of PGs in the league are 6-4, 6-5, I know Pettiford is listed at 6-1 but no way he’s 6 foot.

The defensive mismatch would keep him from getting drafted currently and possibly forever. He has all the offensive tools you would want but he needs a couple years of packing on muscle and learning to really stay in front of offensive players and he’s getting better at that. But in the league they would just clear out and bring him down to the post and abuse him.

Love his game in college. Personally I think he’s 2 years from even being considered a draft pick. Just my opinion

Cooper had his better games against lesser teams and in losing efforts in the short amount of time he played.

I dont care about him.

Contrary to my slander yesterday, he had a really good game.

I think they are comparable size wise when discussing draft potential.

I agree that TP has had a greater impact for a winning team.

In fairness to SC, wasn’t he suspended for all of November and December?

If not, I think we would have made the NCAA that year.

It does not really matter what I think or how TP compares to SC. The GMs and scouts will give him real feedback. I hope he comes back for at least one more year and develops even more.

He’s lived up to the 5 star billing over the course of this season.

According to the Auburn site they’re the same height but we lied like crazy for Sharife. I would guess Tahaad has an inch or two on him. Sharife had great first step quickness but that was it from a physical standpoint. Tahaad is significantly more explosive than SC.

Yeah Cooper only played a month or two at Auburn. That month or two occurred in a lost season. He didn't endure anything. He didnt see the grind. His brief presence made our losses less suckier.

Aden Holloway is the better comparison to show just how fortunate we are to have Pettiford. Both were 5 star freshmen PGs. One struggled to no fault of of his own, the other is flourishing so its a night and day comparison.
