I don't think that should matter.

If this is the best we can do, we should have just not made a change at all. His style of play won't translate to the SEC. We tried this with Terri Williams. You will win some games, but you will never be a top tier SEC program playing this style of press defense.

Teams with size and talent will simply drive to the basket collect fouls and kill you on the perimeter. You can beat smaller teams, but teams like South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, among others, will toy with you on a regular basis.

We could have hired Kellie Harper. Missouri did. We could have gone after Sam Purcell. Instead, if this is true, we will get farther and farther behind our rivals.

Curious what he's being paid. If it was the cheap choice then I think we know women's basketball will always be bottom of the ladder at AU.

Just a cursory Google search brought up this tweet where theyre "projecting" him to make about $575k...

Where they got that number or how it compares to other SEC women's coaches, i have no clue.

That is the approx salary of the coach he is replacing. It is likely correct and compared to proven coaches, it is on the cheap.

Kelly Harper was making 1.1 million at Tennessee, can't find what Mizzou is paying her.

Cream of the crop is Staley at 4 million, Mulkey at over 3 million.

Looking at a USA Today report from last March, Harris was at $568,750. Bama was paying Curry $562,356. Vandy is private and doesn't disclose. All of the rest of the current SEC is above us on that list.

Yes, those are the numbers,

We chose not to step up to the plate and make a big time hire.
