* I am not using the RPI in the average. In a few weeks, I think it will be another good tool to use, but the numbers aren't there yet.

** Why is A&M still receiving votes in the Coaches Poll? Why aren't South Carolina and Mississippi State receiving any votes?

About right with this team. Lemon got the keys to a corvette and has since driven it into a ditch.

RPI ranking!

and Xavier is #4 despite being 8-13

North Dakota State at #22 with a 4-14 record

It's not a good measuring stick right now, but it is getting closer.

Dvh coaching tree strong. The obvious in Vitello but the UGa coach is a dvh guy too.

Didn't realize Wes Johnson was from Sherwood and coached at Sylvan Hills. He may be the guy after DVH retires and momma comes calling.

Is that why we both seem to suck so bad pitching in the early innings of games?

While true, quite a few can claim Johnson.

DBU - 2012 to 2015 (Heefner)
State - 2016 (Lemonis)
Hogs - 2017 to 2018 (Van Horn)
LSU - 2023 (Johnson)

Vitello falls under the Schloss and Van Horn tree the same way. Elander will too one day.

I think it's pretty easy to say Arkansas (DVH) can claim Johnson.

Born in Arkansas
Coached somewhere in Arkansas 1997-2011 + 2017-2018

You may be right. That might be the next Hogs HC.

I agree. I already said that

But I would say he is from the Heefner tree first.. that's good company either way.

Oh did you want to keep him?

We need someone to steal Josh Elander from the Vols.

We also need Frank Anderson to retire.

Yes. Maybe. I think. He’s 64-19 so far so I’m pretty partial toward him. But my god have these games been hard to watch without a functional starting pitcher. I guess if he leaves, we can try life with Will Coggin who has been transcendental with our offense these past 2 seasons.

It’s kinda wild, coming into the season it seemed like UGA was going to need to lean on what should have been improved pitching to make up for the loss of Condon and Collins at the plate.

Instead, we have all but replaced Condon and Collins’ production with Zaborowski and Burnett and only gotten better in the pen; starting pitching is no better or straight up worse (in some part due to injury but I digress)
