Team is a lot better than its current record, but how in the world does ELO have it this high currently?

if we added those 4 ACC schools.. we'd have 100% of the Top 10

Those 4 + Miami are probably the ones most talked about..

I don not know this for sure, but the way that ELO works is a win takes points from the team you beat and therefore it moves you up and down based on your wins against good/bad opponents and so every win/loss gains/loses points. But you have to start somewhere I'd imagine? In chess (what it was built for) there aren't seasons so each player individually have a running ELO total throughout his career, but in seasoned sports you have to start over each year. So my only guess is point values are based on an initial ranking and so A&M was initially ranked #1 and therefore it takes a minute to continue to lose ELO points to keep dropping.

That's all I can guess. Because if you start from scratch they have arguably the 2nd worst resume in the conference besides Missouri. There are a few others there that aren't as extreme as A&M but clearly are higher than their 12-14 game resume would make you think they should be, but all of them were highly ranked in the preseason (or end of last season). So it has to be something with that.

I’ll take this. For a rebuilding year, Ming has the boys rolling! The SEC is going to be fun!

LSU didn’t seem to care about beating a bad team. I hope they show up for sone of these mid week games.

only 3 teams not ranked in the top 25 and LSU gets all 3 this season. Mizzou is the only non-NCAAT worthy team in the conference so we better take advantage next weekend and get off to a 3-0 start against them so we’re not playing from behind in conference standings this year.

And we make up 65% of the softball top 20. 13 of the top 20 in softball ELO rankings are from the SEC and last year all 15 teams made a regional.

We were always the dominant football conference and now we have 14 teams looking to make march madness this year

Crazy dominant
