Does anyone actually care about this tournament anymore given that the results have absolutely no impact upon NCAA tournament seedings?

The championship on Sunday doesn't count for anything other than the automatic bid because they already have folks seeded at that point.
But if you're a bubble team or close to being out, losing some early SEC Tournament games CAN influence whether you get in or how you are seeded.

Ever since that Georgia tornado year, I care. If only on the off chance we (or any team like us) miraculously make that sort of run.

UK would know this, lol

For teams trying to improve seeding, solidify an invite, or get off the bubble…the tournament means a lot to them. The games during the week leading up to the semifinals will mean something.

Correct. We've played in several tournament championships so we would know how it affects seeding. Thanks for noticing, buddy.

Kentucky has 135 wins and 30 losses in the SEC Tournament historically.

And hasn't won a conference tourney since 2018

Kentucky hasn't been lower than a #6 seed in the NCAA Tournament since 2018.
So your "needing wins on the bubble" comment still doesn't make sense. Get back to the fries, boy.

Try winning a conference tourney this decade and then get back to me.

Your team has won one SEC Tournament (21-22) since the 78-79 season.

I really don’t think talking smack to Kentucky basketball is a way to win an argument.
They are the history of college basketball defined in ONE program.
Now, you can chirp when you win in a given year but I would recommend avoiding “historical” discussions with them.
